Competes with bile acid CoA:amino acid N-acyltransferase (BAAT) for bile acid-CoA substrate (such as chenodeoxycholoyl-CoA). Shows a preference for medium-length fatty acyl-CoAs (C2 to C20) (PubMed:9299485, PubMed:9153233). Inactive towards substrates with more than C20 aliphatic chains (PubMed:9153233). Involved in the metabolic regulation of peroxisome proliferation (PubMed:15194431). {ECO:0000269|PubMed:15194431, ECO:0000269|PubMed:9153233, ECO:0000269|PubMed:9299485}. |Acyl CoA thio| |regulation of CD4 biosynthetic process| |choloyl-CoA hydrolase activity| |acetoacetyl-CoA hydrolase activity| |hydroxymethylglutaryl-CoA hydrolase activity| |negative regulation of CD4 biosynthetic process| |long-chain acyl-CoA hydrolase activity| |CoA hydrolase activity| |medium-chain acyl-CoA hydrolase activity| |succinyl-CoA hydrolase activity| |acetyl-CoA hydrolase activity| |peroxisome fission| |myristoyl-CoA hydrolase activity| |negative regulation of glycoprotein biosynthetic process| |alpha-linolenic acid metabolic process| |palmitoyl-CoA hydrolase activity| |fatty acid beta-oxidation using acyl-CoA oxidase| |acyl-CoA hydrolase activity| |negative regulation of glycoprotein metabolic process| |dicarboxylic acid catabolic process| |bile acid biosynthetic process| |carboxylic ester hydrolase activity| |bile acid metabolic process| |regulation of glycoprotein biosynthetic process| |regulation of glycoprotein metabolic process| |peroxisomal matrix| |fatty acid beta-oxidation| |establishment of protein localization to peroxisome| |protein targeting to peroxisome| |protein localization to peroxisome| |peroxisomal transport| |fatty acid oxidation| |lipid oxidation| |peroxisome organization| |fatty acid catabolic process| |acyl-CoA metabolic process| |thioester metabolic process| |dicarboxylic acid metabolic process| |unsaturated fatty acid metabolic process| |long-chain fatty acid metabolic process| |monocarboxylic acid catabolic process| |steroid biosynthetic process| |ribonucleoside bisphosphate metabolic process| |purine nucleoside bisphosphate metabolic process| |nucleoside bisphosphate metabolic process| |organic hydroxy compound biosynthetic process| |monocarboxylic acid biosynthetic process| |cellular lipid catabolic process| |lipid modification| |coenzyme metabolic process| |steroid metabolic process| |organic acid catabolic process| |carboxylic acid catabolic process| |lipid catabolic process| |carboxylic acid biosynthetic process| |organic acid biosynthetic process| |organelle fission| |purine ribonucleotide metabolic process| |fatty acid metabolic process| |ribonucleotide metabolic process| |purine nucleotide metabolic process| |ribose phosphate metabolic process| |protein targeting| |sulfur compound metabolic process| |purine-containing compound metabolic process| |establishment of protein localization to organelle| |small molecule catabolic process| |cofactor metabolic process| |nucleotide metabolic process| |nucleoside phosphate metabolic process| |organic hydroxy compound metabolic process| |drug metabolic process| |monocarboxylic acid metabolic process| |nucleobase-containing small molecule metabolic process| |lipid biosynthetic process| |small molecule biosynthetic process| |viral process| |protein localization to organelle| |symbiotic process| |cellular amide metabolic process| |interspecies interaction between organisms| |organophosphate metabolic process| |carboxylic acid metabolic process| |cellular lipid metabolic process| |oxidation-reduction process| |intracellular protein transport| |oxoacid metabolic process| |organic acid metabolic process| |carbohydrate derivative metabolic process| |negative regulation of protein metabolic process| |lipid metabolic process| |organic cyclic compound biosynthetic process| |negative regulation of cellular macromolecule biosynthetic process| |negative regulation of macromolecule biosynthetic process| |protein transport| |negative regulation of cellular biosynthetic process| |intracellular transport| |peptide transport| |negative regulation of biosynthetic process| |amide transport| |cellular protein localization| |cellular macromolecule localization| |establishment of protein localization| |small molecule metabolic process| |organic substance catabolic process| |cellular catabolic process| |establishment of localization in cell| |nitrogen compound transport| \\ === CRISPR Data === ^Screen^Score^ |[[:results:exp26|Oligomycin-A 20μM R00 exp26]]|-2.49| No correlation found to any other genes in chemogenomics.
