The encoded protein is a MAGUK (membrane-associated guanylate kinase) protein family member. These proteins are scaffold proteins and the encoded protein is located at synapses in the brain. Mutations in this gene are associated with FG syndrome 4, mental retardation and microcephaly with pontine and cerebellar hypoplasia, and a form of X-linked mental retardation. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.[provided by RefSeq, Mar 2010]. * **UniProt Summary**: N/A |Guanylate kin| |PDZ| |SH3 2| |Pkinase Tyr| |L27| |SH3 1| |Pkinase| |nuclear lamina| |guanylate kinase activity| |GDP metabolic process| |negative regulation of keratinocyte proliferation| |neurexin family protein binding| |GMP metabolic process| |positive regulation of calcium ion import| |regulation of keratinocyte proliferation| |purine ribonucleoside monophosphate metabolic process| |purine nucleoside monophosphate metabolic process| |negative regulation of cell-matrix adhesion| |regulation of calcium ion import| |guanosine-containing compound metabolic process| |calcium ion import| |ribonucleoside monophosphate metabolic process| |ciliary membrane| |purine ribonucleoside metabolic process| |negative regulation of cell-substrate adhesion| |purine ribonucleoside diphosphate metabolic process| |purine nucleoside diphosphate metabolic process| |purine nucleoside metabolic process| |ribonucleoside diphosphate metabolic process| |negative regulation of wound healing| |nucleoside monophosphate metabolic process| |presynaptic membrane| |ribonucleoside metabolic process| |regulation of synaptic vesicle exocytosis| |Schaffer collateral - CA1 synapse| |nucleoside diphosphate metabolic process| |negative regulation of response to wounding| |basement membrane| |signal release from synapse| |neurotransmitter secretion| |regulation of neurotransmitter secretion| |nucleoside metabolic process| |nuclear matrix| |regulation of synaptic vesicle cycle| |regulation of cell-matrix adhesion| |positive regulation of calcium ion transport| |negative regulation of epithelial cell proliferation| |glycosyl compound metabolic process| |regulation of wound healing| |vesicle| |regulation of neurotransmitter transport| |negative regulation of cellular response to growth factor stimulus| |regulation of regulated secretory pathway| |regulation of response to wounding| |signal release| |cell-cell junction| |neurotransmitter transport| |basolateral plasma membrane| |calmodulin binding| |regulation of cell-substrate adhesion| |actin cytoskeleton| |regulation of exocytosis| |regulation of calcium ion transport| |calcium ion transport| |regulation of cellular response to growth factor stimulus| |negative regulation of cell adhesion| |positive regulation of ion transport| |divalent metal ion transport| |divalent inorganic cation transport| |purine ribonucleotide metabolic process| |ribonucleotide metabolic process| |purine nucleotide metabolic process| |regulation of epithelial cell proliferation| |ribose phosphate metabolic process| |regulation of neurotransmitter levels| |protein serine/threonine kinase activity| |negative regulation of response to external stimulus| |purine-containing compound metabolic process| |regulation of metal ion transport| |focal adhesion| |anterograde trans-synaptic signaling| |chemical synaptic transmission| |trans-synaptic signaling| |modulation of chemical synaptic transmission| |regulation of trans-synaptic signaling| |nucleotide metabolic process| |nucleoside phosphate metabolic process| |synaptic signaling| |nucleobase-containing small molecule metabolic process| |regulation of vesicle-mediated transport| |metal ion transport| |negative regulation of cell population proliferation| |regulation of cell adhesion| |regulation of ion transport| |regulation of secretion by cell| |regulation of secretion| |cation transport| |nucleolus| |organophosphate metabolic process| |regulation of cellular localization| |cell adhesion| |biological adhesion| |protein phosphorylation| |positive regulation of transport| |secretion by cell| |carbohydrate derivative metabolic process| |export from cell| |regulation of response to external stimulus| |cell-cell signaling| |secretion| |positive regulation of transcription by RNA polymerase II| |phosphorylation| |ion transport| |regulation of response to stress| |ATP binding| |positive regulation of transcription, DNA-templated| |regulation of cell population proliferation| |negative regulation of response to stimulus| |positive regulation of nucleic acid-templated transcription| |positive regulation of RNA biosynthetic process| |positive regulation of RNA metabolic process| |small molecule metabolic process| |establishment of localization in cell| |regulation of transport| |positive regulation of nucleobase-containing compound metabolic process| |positive regulation of macromolecule biosynthetic process| |positive regulation of cellular biosynthetic process| |positive regulation of gene expression| |positive regulation of biosynthetic process| \\ === CRISPR Data === No hits were found.
