Mutations in this gene are associated with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome types IV, and with aortic and arterial aneurysms. Two transcripts, resulting from the use of alternate polyadenylation signals, have been identified for this gene. [provided by R. Dalgleish, Feb 2008]. * **UniProt Summary**: N/A |VWC| |Collagen| |COLFI| |collagen type III trimer| |aorta smooth muscle tissue morphogenesis| |platelet-derived growth factor binding| |negative regulation of neuron migration| |smooth muscle tissue development| |aorta morphogenesis| |positive regulation of Rho protein signal transduction| |extracellular matrix structural constituent conferring tensile strength| |regulation of neuron migration| |collagen fibril organization| |aorta development| |SMAD binding| |peptide cross-linking| |artery morphogenesis| |positive regulation of Ras protein signal transduction| |cellular response to amino acid stimulus| |positive regulation of small GTPase mediated signal transduction| |muscle tissue morphogenesis| |artery development| |muscle organ morphogenesis| |integrin-mediated signaling pathway| |transforming growth factor beta receptor signaling pathway| |protease binding| |response to amino acid| |cerebral cortex development| |cell-matrix adhesion| |digestive tract development| |integrin binding| |extracellular matrix structural constituent| |platelet activation| |digestive system development| |regulation of Rho protein signal transduction| |negative regulation of immune response| |cellular response to transforming growth factor beta stimulus| |response to transforming growth factor beta| |pallium development| |cell-substrate adhesion| |transmembrane receptor protein serine/threonine kinase signaling pathway| |cellular response to acid chemical| |response to mechanical stimulus| |extracellular matrix| |regulation of Ras protein signal transduction| |telencephalon development| |negative regulation of cell migration| |negative regulation of cell motility| |negative regulation of neurogenesis| |blood coagulation| |coagulation| |muscle organ development| |muscle tissue development| |hemostasis| |endoplasmic reticulum lumen| |negative regulation of cellular component movement| |negative regulation of nervous system development| |negative regulation of locomotion| |negative regulation of cell development| |extracellular matrix organization| |regulation of small GTPase mediated signal transduction| |response to acid chemical| |collagen-containing extracellular matrix| |skin development| |extracellular structure organization| |forebrain development| |blood vessel morphogenesis| |response to radiation| |negative regulation of immune system process| |supramolecular fiber organization| |muscle structure development| |wound healing| |blood vessel development| |skeletal system development| |regulation of body fluid levels| |cellular response to growth factor stimulus| |vasculature development| |cardiovascular system development| |heart development| |response to growth factor| |tissue morphogenesis| |response to wounding| |cellular response to organonitrogen compound| |tube morphogenesis| |cellular response to nitrogen compound| |negative regulation of cell differentiation| |enzyme linked receptor protein signaling pathway| |brain development| |head development| |regulation of neurogenesis| |tube development| |regulation of cell migration| |circulatory system development| |regulation of cell motility| |regulation of nervous system development| |cell adhesion| |regulation of cell development| |biological adhesion| |negative regulation of developmental process| |animal organ morphogenesis| |central nervous system development| |regulation of locomotion| |regulation of cellular component movement| |response to organonitrogen compound| |positive regulation of intracellular signal transduction| |cellular response to oxygen-containing compound| |cell activation| |response to nitrogen compound| |response to cytokine| |regulation of immune response| |response to abiotic stimulus| |negative regulation of multicellular organismal process| |cellular response to endogenous stimulus| |response to endogenous stimulus| |generation of neurons| |response to oxygen-containing compound| |extracellular space| |negative regulation of response to stimulus| |neurogenesis| |regulation of immune system process| |positive regulation of signal transduction| |tissue development| |regulation of cell differentiation| |positive regulation of cell communication| |positive regulation of signaling| |regulation of intracellular signal transduction| |protein-containing complex subunit organization| |extracellular region| \\ === CRISPR Data === ^Screen^Score^ |[[:results:exp452|Azithromycin 100μM R08 exp452]]|-1.83| |[[:results:exp347|Cyclosporin-A 0.8μM R07 exp347]]|-1.81| |[[:results:exp500|LY2090314 0.003μM R08 exp500 no dilution day6]]|-1.7| No correlation found to any other genes in chemogenomics.
