The encoded protein activates the cystic fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulator. Mutations in this gene are associated with familial diarrhea (autosomal dominant) and meconium ileus (autosomal recessive). [provided by RefSeq, Nov 2016]. * **UniProt Summary**: Receptor for the E.coli heat-stable enterotoxin (E.coli enterotoxin markedly stimulates the accumulation of cGMP in mammalian cells expressing GC-C). Also activated by the endogenous peptides guanylin and uroguanylin. |ANF receptor| |Guanylate cyc| |Pkinase Tyr| |Pkinase| |peptide receptor activity| |guanylate cyclase activity| |receptor guanylyl cyclase signaling pathway| |toxic substance binding| |cGMP biosynthetic process| |cGMP metabolic process| |cyclic purine nucleotide metabolic process| |cyclic nucleotide biosynthetic process| |cyclic nucleotide metabolic process| |digestion| |purine ribonucleotide biosynthetic process| |purine nucleotide biosynthetic process| |ribonucleotide biosynthetic process| |ribose phosphate biosynthetic process| |purine-containing compound biosynthetic process| |protein kinase activity| |nucleotide biosynthetic process| |nucleoside phosphate biosynthetic process| |purine ribonucleotide metabolic process| |ribonucleotide metabolic process| |purine nucleotide metabolic process| |ribose phosphate metabolic process| |purine-containing compound metabolic process| |GTP binding| |nucleotide metabolic process| |nucleoside phosphate metabolic process| |response to toxic substance| |organophosphate biosynthetic process| |nucleobase-containing small molecule metabolic process| |carbohydrate derivative biosynthetic process| |enzyme linked receptor protein signaling pathway| |organophosphate metabolic process| |endoplasmic reticulum membrane| |protein phosphorylation| |carbohydrate derivative metabolic process| |nucleobase-containing compound biosynthetic process| |heterocycle biosynthetic process| |aromatic compound biosynthetic process| |phosphorylation| |organic cyclic compound biosynthetic process| |organonitrogen compound biosynthetic process| |ATP binding| |regulation of cell population proliferation| |cellular nitrogen compound biosynthetic process| |intracellular signal transduction| |small molecule metabolic process| \\ === CRISPR Data === ^Screen^Score^ |[[:results:exp229|Dimethyloxaloylglycine 100μM R05 exp229]]|1.78| No correlation found to any other genes in chemogenomics.
