Following type I IFN binding to cell surface receptors, Jak kinases (TYK2 and JAK1) are activated, leading to tyrosine phosphorylation of STAT1 and STAT2. IRF9/ISGF3G associates with the phosphorylated STAT1:STAT2 dimer to form a complex termed ISGF3 transcription factor, that enters the nucleus. ISGF3 binds to the IFN stimulated response element (ISRE) to activate the transcription of interferon stimulated genes, which drive the cell in an antiviral state. |IRF| |IRF-3| |type I interferon signaling pathway| |cellular response to type I interferon| |response to type I interferon| |interferon-gamma-mediated signaling pathway| |cellular response to interferon-gamma| |response to interferon-gamma| |defense response to virus| |response to virus| |transcription by RNA polymerase II| |RNA polymerase II proximal promoter sequence-specific DNA binding| |transcription, DNA-templated| |nucleic acid-templated transcription| |RNA biosynthetic process| |cytokine-mediated signaling pathway| |DNA-binding transcription factor activity| |innate immune response| |defense response to other organism| |cellular response to cytokine stimulus| |immune effector process| |nucleobase-containing compound biosynthetic process| |response to cytokine| |heterocycle biosynthetic process| |aromatic compound biosynthetic process| |response to other organism| |organic cyclic compound biosynthetic process| |response to external biotic stimulus| |response to biotic stimulus| |defense response| |DNA-binding transcription factor activity, RNA polymerase II-specific| |cellular nitrogen compound biosynthetic process| |RNA metabolic process| |cellular macromolecule biosynthetic process| |macromolecule biosynthetic process| |immune response| |gene expression| \\ === CRISPR Data === ^Screen^Score^ |[[:results:exp365|I-BRD9 4μM R07 exp365]]|-2.04| |[[:results:exp191|Hypoxia 5%O2 R04 exp191]]|1.84| No correlation found to any other genes in chemogenomics.
