It catalyzes the addition of beta-1,6-N-acetylglucosamine to the alpha-linked mannose of biantennary N-linked oligosaccharides present on the newly synthesized glycoproteins. It is one of the most important enzymes involved in the regulation of the biosynthesis of glycoprotein oligosaccharides. Alterations of the oligosaccharides on cell surface glycoproteins cause significant changes in the adhesive or migratory behavior of a cell. Increase in the activity of this enzyme has been correlated with the progression of invasive malignancies. [provided by RefSeq, Oct 2011]. * **UniProt Summary**: Catalyzes the addition of N-acetylglucosamine in beta 1- 6 linkage to the alpha-linked mannose of biantennary N-linked oligosaccharides. It is one of the most important enzymes involved in the regulation of the biosynthesis of glycoprotein oligosaccharides. No Pfam Domain information is available for this gene. |alpha-1,6-mannosylglycoprotein 6-beta-N-acetylglucosaminyltransferase activity| |negative regulation of protein tyrosine phosphatase activity| |regulation of protein tyrosine phosphatase activity| |protein N-linked glycosylation via asparagine| |peptidyl-asparagine modification| |protein phosphatase inhibitor activity| |negative regulation of phosphoprotein phosphatase activity| |manganese ion binding| |negative regulation of protein dephosphorylation| |protein N-linked glycosylation| |positive regulation of receptor signaling pathway via STAT| |negative regulation of phosphatase activity| |negative regulation of dephosphorylation| |regulation of phosphoprotein phosphatase activity| |regulation of receptor signaling pathway via STAT| |regulation of protein dephosphorylation| |regulation of phosphatase activity| |regulation of dephosphorylation| |macromolecule glycosylation| |protein glycosylation| |glycosylation| |glycoprotein biosynthetic process| |glycoprotein metabolic process| |negative regulation of hydrolase activity| |positive regulation of cell migration| |positive regulation of cell motility| |positive regulation of cellular component movement| |positive regulation of locomotion| |negative regulation of phosphate metabolic process| |negative regulation of phosphorus metabolic process| |negative regulation of protein modification process| |Golgi membrane| |carbohydrate derivative biosynthetic process| |negative regulation of catalytic activity| |regulation of cell migration| |peptidyl-amino acid modification| |regulation of cell motility| |regulation of locomotion| |Golgi apparatus| |regulation of cellular component movement| |carbohydrate derivative metabolic process| |negative regulation of cellular protein metabolic process| |negative regulation of protein metabolic process| |negative regulation of molecular function| |regulation of hydrolase activity| |organonitrogen compound biosynthetic process| |positive regulation of signal transduction| |cellular macromolecule biosynthetic process| |macromolecule biosynthetic process| |regulation of phosphate metabolic process| |regulation of phosphorus metabolic process| |positive regulation of cell communication| |positive regulation of signaling| |regulation of protein modification process| |membrane| \\ === CRISPR Data === ^Screen^Score^ |[[:results:exp409|THZ531 0.11μM R07 exp409]]|-1.99| |[[:results:exp359|FK-506 30μM R07 exp359]]|-1.92| |[[:results:exp133|MKC9989 10μM R03 exp133]]|1.82| No correlation found to any other genes in chemogenomics.
