Activity depends on E2 enzymes of the UBE2D family. Proteasomal degradation of MRLC leads to inhibit neurite outgrowth in presence of NGF by counteracting the stabilization of MRLC by saposin-like protein (CNPY2/MSAP) and reducing CNPY2-stimulated neurite outgrowth. Acts as a sterol- dependent inhibitor of cellular cholesterol uptake by mediating ubiquitination and subsequent degradation of LDLR. {ECO:0000269|PubMed:10593918, ECO:0000269|PubMed:12826659, ECO:0000269|PubMed:14550572, ECO:0000269|PubMed:19520913, ECO:0000269|PubMed:20427281, ECO:0000269|PubMed:22109552}. |FERM M| |FERM N| |negative regulation of low-density lipoprotein particle clearance| |regulation of low-density lipoprotein particle receptor catabolic process| |negative regulation of lipoprotein particle clearance| |low-density lipoprotein particle receptor catabolic process| |regulation of receptor catabolic process| |low-density lipoprotein receptor particle metabolic process| |regulation of low-density lipoprotein particle clearance| |regulation of lipoprotein particle clearance| |receptor catabolic process| |protein destabilization| |cytoskeletal protein binding| |cholesterol homeostasis| |sterol homeostasis| |receptor metabolic process| |lipid homeostasis| |negative regulation of neuron projection development| |negative regulation of cell projection organization| |positive regulation of protein catabolic process| |ubiquitin protein ligase activity| |negative regulation of neuron differentiation| |ubiquitin-protein transferase activity| |regulation of cellular protein catabolic process| |regulation of protein stability| |negative regulation of neurogenesis| |protein polyubiquitination| |negative regulation of nervous system development| |negative regulation of cell development| |cytoskeleton| |regulation of protein catabolic process| |positive regulation of catabolic process| |regulation of neuron projection development| |ubiquitin-dependent protein catabolic process| |modification-dependent protein catabolic process| |modification-dependent macromolecule catabolic process| |proteolysis involved in cellular protein catabolic process| |cellular protein catabolic process| |regulation of neuron differentiation| |protein catabolic process| |protein ubiquitination| |regulation of plasma membrane bounded cell projection organization| |negative regulation of cellular component organization| |regulation of cell projection organization| |negative regulation of cell differentiation| |protein modification by small protein conjugation| |regulation of neurogenesis| |regulation of cellular catabolic process| |cellular macromolecule catabolic process| |regulation of nervous system development| |regulation of cell development| |negative regulation of developmental process| |protein modification by small protein conjugation or removal| |regulation of catabolic process| |macromolecule catabolic process| |organonitrogen compound catabolic process| |chemical homeostasis| |negative regulation of multicellular organismal process| |proteolysis| |generation of neurons| |neurogenesis| |homeostatic process| |positive regulation of protein metabolic process| |organic substance catabolic process| |cellular catabolic process| |regulation of cell differentiation| \\ === CRISPR Data === ^Screen^Score^ |[[:results:exp226|Cerivastatin 0.15μM R05 exp226]]|-2.44| |[[:results:exp532|TIC10 10μM R08 exp532]]|-2.31| |[[:results:exp382|Palbociclib 1μM R07 exp382]]|-1.94| |[[:results:exp259|6-Thio-2-deoxyguanosine 2μM R06 exp259]]|-1.83| |[[:results:exp11|CCCP 1μM R00 exp11]]|1.93| |[[:results:exp210|LB-100 2μM R05 exp210]]|1.96| |[[:results:exp7|Bortezomib 0.05μM R00 exp7]]|1.98| |[[:results:exp436|Dynasore 7μM R08 exp436]]|2.72| No correlation found to any other genes in chemogenomics.
