The encoded protein interacts with CD3-zeta (CD247), a T-cell receptor. A single nucleotide polymorphism in the 5' untranslated region of this gene has been associated with mild malaria suceptibility. Three transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.[provided by RefSeq, May 2010]. * **UniProt Summary**: N/A |V-set| |positive regulation of natural killer cell mediated cytotoxicity| |positive regulation of natural killer cell mediated immunity| |regulation of natural killer cell mediated cytotoxicity| |regulation of natural killer cell mediated immunity| |positive regulation of leukocyte mediated cytotoxicity| |natural killer cell activation| |positive regulation of cell killing| |regulation of leukocyte mediated cytotoxicity| |regulation of cell killing| |positive regulation of lymphocyte mediated immunity| |positive regulation of leukocyte mediated immunity| |regulation of lymphocyte mediated immunity| |regulation of leukocyte mediated immunity| |positive regulation of immune effector process| |cell recognition| |positive regulation of innate immune response| |positive regulation of response to biotic stimulus| |lymphocyte activation| |immune response-activating cell surface receptor signaling pathway| |regulation of innate immune response| |regulation of immune effector process| |positive regulation of defense response| |immune response-regulating cell surface receptor signaling pathway| |inflammatory response| |positive regulation of multi-organism process| |regulation of response to biotic stimulus| |immune response-activating signal transduction| |immune response-regulating signaling pathway| |positive regulation of response to external stimulus| |activation of immune response| |regulation of defense response| |regulation of multi-organism process| |positive regulation of immune response| |leukocyte activation| |identical protein binding| |cell activation| |regulation of response to external stimulus| |regulation of immune response| |positive regulation of immune system process| |defense response| |integral component of plasma membrane| |regulation of response to stress| |regulation of immune system process| |immune response| \\ === CRISPR Data === ^Screen^Score^ |[[:results:exp500|LY2090314 0.003μM R08 exp500 no dilution day6]]|-2.11| |[[:results:exp53|Suberoylanilide-Hydroxamic-Acid 0.02μM R01 exp53]]|1.71| |[[:results:exp350|Deferoxamine 11μM R07 exp350]]|1.75| |[[:results:exp306|Rapamycin 2μM R07 exp306]]|1.77| |[[:results:exp59|UMK57 1μM R01 exp59]]|1.89| |[[:results:exp60|Vinblastine 0.002μM R01 exp60]]|2.64| No correlation found to any other genes in chemogenomics.
