Transports AQP2 from the trans- Golgi network (TGN) to sites of AQP2 phosphorylation. Mediates the non-vesicular transport of glucosylceramide (GlcCer) from the trans-Golgi network (TGN) to the plasma membrane and plays a pivotal role in the synthesis of complex glycosphingolipids. Binding of both phosphatidylinositol 4-phosphate (PIP) and ARF1 are essential for the GlcCer transfer ability. Also required for primary cilium formation, possibly by being involved in the transport of raft lipids to the apical membrane, and for membrane tubulation. {ECO:0000269|PubMed:15107860, ECO:0000269|PubMed:16103222, ECO:0000269|PubMed:17687330}. |GLTP| |PH| |glycolipid transfer activity| |glycolipid binding| |ceramide binding| |ER to Golgi ceramide transport| |glycolipid transport| |ceramide 1-phosphate binding| |intermembrane lipid transfer| |ceramide 1-phosphate transfer activity| |ceramide 1-phosphate transport| |ceramide transport| |phosphatidylinositol-4-phosphate binding| |intracellular lipid transport| |carbohydrate derivative transport| |phospholipid transport| |phosphatidylinositol biosynthetic process| |organophosphate ester transport| |lipid binding| |phosphatidylinositol metabolic process| |trans-Golgi network| |glycerophospholipid biosynthetic process| |glycerolipid biosynthetic process| |phospholipid biosynthetic process| |lipid transport| |glycerophospholipid metabolic process| |lipid localization| |phospholipid metabolic process| |glycerolipid metabolic process| |organic anion transport| |organophosphate biosynthetic process| |lipid biosynthetic process| |anion transport| |Golgi membrane| |membrane organization| |organophosphate metabolic process| |cellular lipid metabolic process| |Golgi apparatus| |lipid metabolic process| |ion transport| |protein transport| |intracellular transport| |peptide transport| |amide transport| |establishment of protein localization| |establishment of localization in cell| |nitrogen compound transport| \\ === CRISPR Data === ^Screen^Score^ |[[:results:exp30|Rapamycin 10μM R00 exp30]]|-1.73| |[[:results:exp98|BI-6727 0.04μM R03 exp98]]|1.83| |[[:results:exp244|SB743921 0.001μM R05 exp244]]|2.54| |[[:results:exp24|Nocodazole 0.2μM R00 exp24]]|3.29| |[[:results:exp33|Rotenone 2μM R00 exp33]]|3.54| |[[:results:exp94|Nocodazole 0.1μM R03 exp94]]|3.79| No correlation found to any other genes in chemogenomics.
