======= PPP1R1A ======= == Gene Information == * **Official Symbol**: PPP1R1A * **Official Name**: protein phosphatase 1 regulatory inhibitor subunit 1A * **Aliases and Previous Symbols**: N/A * **Entrez ID**: 5502 * **UniProt**: Q13522 * **Interactions**: BioGRID * **PubMed articles**: Open PubMed * **OMIM**: Open OMIM == Function Summary == * **Entrez Summary**: N/A * **UniProt Summary**: Inhibitor of protein-phosphatase 1. This protein may be important in hormonal control of glycogen metabolism. Hormones that elevate intracellular cAMP increase I-1 activity in many tissues. I-1 activation may impose cAMP control over proteins that are not directly phosphorylated by PKA. Following a rise in intracellular calcium, I-1 is inactivated by calcineurin (or PP2B). Does not inhibit type-2 phosphatases. |DARPP-32| |protein serine/threonine phosphatase inhibitor activity| |glycogen metabolic process| |cellular glucan metabolic process| |glucan metabolic process| |negative regulation of phosphoprotein phosphatase activity| |energy reserve metabolic process| |negative regulation of protein dephosphorylation| |cellular polysaccharide metabolic process| |polysaccharide metabolic process| |negative regulation of phosphatase activity| |negative regulation of dephosphorylation| |regulation of phosphoprotein phosphatase activity| |regulation of protein dephosphorylation| |cellular carbohydrate metabolic process| |regulation of phosphatase activity| |regulation of dephosphorylation| |energy derivation by oxidation of organic compounds| |generation of precursor metabolites and energy| |negative regulation of hydrolase activity| |carbohydrate metabolic process| |negative regulation of phosphate metabolic process| |negative regulation of phosphorus metabolic process| |negative regulation of protein modification process| |negative regulation of catalytic activity| |oxidation-reduction process| |negative regulation of cellular protein metabolic process| |negative regulation of protein metabolic process| |negative regulation of molecular function| |regulation of hydrolase activity| |extracellular space| |intracellular signal transduction| |regulation of phosphate metabolic process| |regulation of phosphorus metabolic process| |regulation of protein modification process| \\ === CRISPR Data === No hits were found. ^Gene^Correlation^ |POLR2J3|0.419| Global Fraction of Cell Lines Where Essential: 0/739 ^Tissue^Fraction Of Cell Lines Where Essential^ |1290807.0|0/1| |909776.0|0/1| |bile duct|0/28| |blood|0/28| |bone|0/26| |breast|0/33| |central nervous system|0/56| |cervix|0/4| |colorectal|0/17| |esophagus|0/13| |fibroblast|0/1| |gastric|0/16| |kidney|0/21| |liver|0/20| |lung|0/75| |lymphocyte|0/16| |ovary|0/26| |pancreas|0/24| |peripheral nervous system|0/16| |plasma cell|0/15| |prostate|0/1| |skin|0/24| |soft tissue|0/9| |thyroid|0/2| |upper aerodigestive|0/22| |urinary tract|0/29| |uterus|0/5| == Essentiality in NALM6 == * **Essentiality Rank**: 4069 * **Expression level (log2 read counts)**: -0.81
