======= RCBTB1 ======= == Gene Information == * **Official Symbol**: RCBTB1 * **Official Name**: RCC1 and BTB domain containing protein 1 * **Aliases and Previous Symbols**: N/A * **Entrez ID**: [[https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/gene/?term=55213|55213]] * **UniProt**: [[https://www.uniprot.org/uniprot/Q8NDN9|Q8NDN9]] * **Interactions**: [[https://thebiogrid.org/search.php?search=RCBTB1&organism=9606|BioGRID]] * **PubMed articles**: [[https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/?term=gene%20RCBTB1|Open PubMed]] * **OMIM**: [[https://omim.org/entry/607867|Open OMIM]] == Function Summary == * **Entrez Summary**: This gene encodes a protein with an N-terminal RCC1 domain and a C-terminal BTB (broad complex, tramtrack and bric-a-brac) domain. In rat, over-expression of this gene in vascular smooth muscle cells induced cellular hypertrophy. In rat, the C-terminus of RCBTB1 interacts with the angiotensin II receptor-1A. In humans, this gene maps to a region of chromosome 13q that is frequently deleted in B-cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia and other lymphoid malignancies. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]. * **UniProt Summary**: May be involved in cell cycle regulation by chromatin remodeling. {ECO:0000269|PubMed:11306461}. |BTB| |RCC1| |chromatin organization| |chromosome organization| |cell cycle| \\ === CRISPR Data === No hits were found.
