SFRPs act as soluble modulators of Wnt signaling. The expression of SFRP4 in ventricular myocardium correlates with apoptosis related gene expression. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]. * **UniProt Summary**: Soluble frizzled-related proteins (sFRPS) function as modulators of Wnt signaling through direct interaction with Wnts. They have a role in regulating cell growth and differentiation in specific cell types (By similarity). SFRP4 plays a role in bone morphogenesis. May also act as a regulator of adult uterine morphology and function. May also increase apoptosis during ovulation possibly through modulation of FZ1/FZ4/WNT4 signaling (By similarity). Has phosphaturic effects by specifically inhibiting sodium-dependent phosphate uptake (PubMed:12952927). {ECO:0000250|UniProtKB:Q9JLS4, ECO:0000250|UniProtKB:Q9Z1N6, ECO:0000269|PubMed:12952927}. |Fz| |NTR| |negative regulation of sodium-dependent phosphate transport| |positive regulation of keratinocyte apoptotic process| |regulation of sodium-dependent phosphate transport| |regulation of keratinocyte apoptotic process| |negative regulation of non-canonical Wnt signaling pathway| |regulation of phosphate transport| |divalent inorganic anion homeostasis| |phosphate ion homeostasis| |trivalent inorganic anion homeostasis| |regulation of non-canonical Wnt signaling pathway| |positive regulation of epidermal cell differentiation| |positive regulation of receptor internalization| |monovalent inorganic anion homeostasis| |negative regulation of anion transport| |positive regulation of epithelial cell apoptotic process| |Wnt-protein binding| |positive regulation of epidermis development| |positive regulation of receptor-mediated endocytosis| |regulation of receptor internalization| |anion homeostasis| |positive regulation of epithelial cell differentiation| |regulation of epidermal cell differentiation| |regulation of epithelial cell apoptotic process| |regulation of epidermis development| |regulation of BMP signaling pathway| |canonical Wnt signaling pathway| |regulation of anion transport| |regulation of receptor-mediated endocytosis| |positive regulation of endocytosis| |bone morphogenesis| |non-canonical Wnt signaling pathway| |regulation of epithelial cell differentiation| |positive regulation of canonical Wnt signaling pathway| |negative regulation of ion transport| |negative regulation of DNA-binding transcription factor activity| |negative regulation of canonical Wnt signaling pathway| |positive regulation of Wnt signaling pathway| |bone development| |regulation of endocytosis| |negative regulation of Wnt signaling pathway| |regulation of transmembrane receptor protein serine/threonine kinase signaling pathway| |skeletal system morphogenesis| |regulation of cellular response to growth factor stimulus| |regulation of canonical Wnt signaling pathway| |Wnt signaling pathway| |cell-cell signaling by wnt| |regulation of Wnt signaling pathway| |regulation of DNA-binding transcription factor activity| |cell surface receptor signaling pathway involved in cell-cell signaling| |negative regulation of transport| |skeletal system development| |regulation of vesicle-mediated transport| |cell surface| |positive regulation of apoptotic process| |positive regulation of programmed cell death| |negative regulation of cell population proliferation| |positive regulation of cell death| |regulation of ion transport| |inorganic ion homeostasis| |ion homeostasis| |response to hormone| |animal organ morphogenesis| |positive regulation of cell differentiation| |positive regulation of transport| |chemical homeostasis| |cell-cell signaling| |negative regulation of molecular function| |positive regulation of cellular component organization| |negative regulation of signal transduction| |negative regulation of cell communication| |negative regulation of signaling| |positive regulation of developmental process| |response to endogenous stimulus| |regulation of apoptotic process| |regulation of programmed cell death| |extracellular space| |regulation of cell population proliferation| |negative regulation of response to stimulus| |homeostatic process| |positive regulation of signal transduction| |regulation of cell death| |regulation of cell differentiation| |positive regulation of cell communication| |positive regulation of signaling| |regulation of transport| |positive regulation of gene expression| \\ === CRISPR Data === ^Screen^Score^ |[[:results:exp228|Demecolcine 0.03μM R05 exp228]]|-1.72| |[[:results:exp517|Quercetin 20μM R08 exp517]]|1.71| |[[:results:exp244|SB743921 0.001μM R05 exp244]]|1.73| |[[:results:exp449|Arsenic trioxide 60μM R08 exp449]]|1.77| |[[:results:exp473|Cincreasin 100μM R08 exp473]]|1.79| |[[:results:exp33|Rotenone 2μM R00 exp33]]|2.02| |[[:results:exp500|LY2090314 0.003μM R08 exp500 no dilution day6]]|2.28| |[[:results:exp24|Nocodazole 0.2μM R00 exp24]]|2.52| |[[:results:exp499|LY2090314 0.003μM R08 exp499]]|2.62| |[[:results:exp94|Nocodazole 0.1μM R03 exp94]]|2.93| No correlation found to any other genes in chemogenomics.
