In SLAM signaling seems to cooperate with SH2D1A/SAP. Plays a role in regulation of effector functions of natural killer (NK) cells by controlling signal transduction through CD244/2B4 without effecting its tyrosine phosphorylation; downstream signaling involves PLCG1 and ERK activation (PubMed:24687958). Activation of SLAMF7-mediated NK cell function does not effect receptor tyrosine phosphorylation but distal signaling (By similarity). In the context of NK cell- mediated cytotoxicity does not enhance conjugate formation with target cells but stimulates polarization of the microtubule- organizing center and cytotoxic granules toward the NK cell synapse (PubMed:24687958). Negatively regulates CD40-induced cytokine production in dendritic cells downstream of SLAM family receptors probably by inducing activation of the PI3K pathway to inhibit p38 MAPK and JNK activation (By similarity). {ECO:0000250|UniProtKB:O35324, ECO:0000269|PubMed:11689425, ECO:0000269|PubMed:24687958, ECO:0000305|PubMed:21219180}. |SH2| |positive regulation of natural killer cell mediated immunity| |regulation of natural killer cell mediated immunity| |protein binding, bridging| |positive regulation of lymphocyte mediated immunity| |positive regulation of leukocyte mediated immunity| |regulation of lymphocyte mediated immunity| |regulation of leukocyte mediated immunity| |positive regulation of immune effector process| |positive regulation of innate immune response| |positive regulation of response to biotic stimulus| |regulation of innate immune response| |regulation of immune effector process| |positive regulation of defense response| |positive regulation of multi-organism process| |regulation of response to biotic stimulus| |positive regulation of response to external stimulus| |adaptive immune response| |leukocyte activation involved in immune response| |cell activation involved in immune response| |regulation of defense response| |innate immune response| |regulation of multi-organism process| |positive regulation of immune response| |leukocyte activation| |defense response to other organism| |cell activation| |immune effector process| |regulation of response to external stimulus| |positive regulation of immune system process| |regulation of immune response| |response to other organism| |response to external biotic stimulus| |response to biotic stimulus| |defense response| |regulation of response to stress| |regulation of immune system process| |immune response| \\ === CRISPR Data === ^Screen^Score^ |[[:results:exp185|L-BMAA 500 to 750μM on day4 R04 exp185]]|-1.79| |[[:results:exp462|Cadmium 60μM R08 exp462]]|-1.76| |[[:results:exp46|HMS-I1 1μM R01 exp46]]|-1.7| |[[:results:exp73|LJH685 5μM R02 exp73]]|1.9| |[[:results:exp277|Curcumin 6.5μM R06 exp277]]|2.02| No correlation found to any other genes in chemogenomics.
