The SLP homology domain (SHD) of this protein has been shown to specifically bind the GTP-bound form of Ras-related protein Rab-27A (RAB27A). This protein plays a role in RAB27A-dependent vesicle trafficking and controls melanosome distribution in the cell periphery. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms.[provided by RefSeq, Jun 2009]. * **UniProt Summary**: N/A |C2| |positive regulation of mucus secretion| |regulation of mucus secretion| |neurexin family protein binding| |exocytic vesicle| |extrinsic component of plasma membrane| |vesicle docking involved in exocytosis| |phosphatase binding| |phosphatidylserine binding| |vesicle docking| |exocytic process| |phosphatidylinositol-4,5-bisphosphate binding| |melanosome| |negative regulation of phosphatase activity| |negative regulation of dephosphorylation| |Rab GTPase binding| |organelle localization by membrane tethering| |regulation of phosphatase activity| |membrane docking| |protein localization to plasma membrane| |regulation of dephosphorylation| |protein localization to cell periphery| |positive regulation of secretion| |negative regulation of hydrolase activity| |protein localization to membrane| |regulation of body fluid levels| |negative regulation of phosphate metabolic process| |negative regulation of phosphorus metabolic process| |organelle localization| |negative regulation of catalytic activity| |exocytosis| |regulation of secretion| |positive regulation of transport| |intracellular protein transport| |secretion by cell| |export from cell| |secretion| |negative regulation of molecular function| |regulation of hydrolase activity| |protein transport| |intracellular transport| |peptide transport| |amide transport| |cellular protein localization| |cellular macromolecule localization| |establishment of protein localization| |positive regulation of multicellular organismal process| |regulation of phosphate metabolic process| |regulation of phosphorus metabolic process| |establishment of localization in cell| |nitrogen compound transport| |regulation of transport| |vesicle-mediated transport| |membrane| \\ === CRISPR Data === No hits were found.
