======= ACP5 ======= == Gene Information == * **Official Symbol**: ACP5 * **Official Name**: acid phosphatase 5, tartrate resistant * **Aliases and Previous Symbols**: N/A * **Entrez ID**: 54 * **UniProt**: P13686 * **Interactions**: BioGRID * **PubMed articles**: Open PubMed * **OMIM**: Open OMIM == Function Summary == * **Entrez Summary**: This gene encodes an iron containing glycoprotein which catalyzes the conversion of orthophosphoric monoester to alcohol and orthophosphate. It is the most basic of the acid phosphatases and is the only form not inhibited by L(+)-tartrate. [provided by RefSeq, Aug 2008]. * **UniProt Summary**: Involved in osteopontin/bone sialoprotein dephosphorylation. Its expression seems to increase in certain pathological states such as Gaucher and Hodgkin diseases, the hairy cell, the B-cell, and the T-cell leukemias. |Metallophos| |Metallophos 2| |negative regulation of superoxide anion generation| |riboflavin metabolic process| |flavin-containing compound metabolic process| |acid phosphatase activity| |ferric iron binding| |negative regulation of nitric oxide biosynthetic process| |negative regulation of nitric oxide metabolic process| |negative regulation of interleukin-12 production| |regulation of superoxide anion generation| |bone resorption| |ferrous iron binding| |negative regulation of interleukin-1 beta production| |negative regulation of reactive oxygen species biosynthetic process| |negative regulation of interleukin-1 production| |regulation of superoxide metabolic process| |bone remodeling| |regulation of interleukin-12 production| |negative regulation of reactive oxygen species metabolic process| |regulation of nitric oxide biosynthetic process| |negative regulation of tumor necrosis factor production| |negative regulation of tumor necrosis factor superfamily cytokine production| |regulation of interleukin-1 beta production| |regulation of reactive oxygen species biosynthetic process| |water-soluble vitamin metabolic process| |defense response to Gram-positive bacterium| |regulation of interleukin-1 production| |tissue remodeling| |bone morphogenesis| |vitamin metabolic process| |negative regulation of inflammatory response| |regulation of tumor necrosis factor production| |regulation of tumor necrosis factor superfamily cytokine production| |regulation of reactive oxygen species metabolic process| |tissue homeostasis| |bone development| |negative regulation of defense response| |skeletal system morphogenesis| |lysosome| |ossification| |negative regulation of cytokine production| |dephosphorylation| |response to lipopolysaccharide| |multicellular organismal homeostasis| |response to molecule of bacterial origin| |defense response to bacterium| |regulation of inflammatory response| |anatomical structure homeostasis| |regulation of neurotransmitter levels| |negative regulation of response to external stimulus| |skeletal system development| |drug metabolic process| |response to bacterium| |regulation of cytokine production| |regulation of defense response| |response to lipid| |defense response to other organism| |animal organ morphogenesis| |regulation of response to external stimulus| |response to cytokine| |negative regulation of multicellular organismal process| |response to other organism| |response to external biotic stimulus| |response to biotic stimulus| |defense response| |regulation of response to stress| |negative regulation of cellular biosynthetic process| |negative regulation of biosynthetic process| |response to oxygen-containing compound| |negative regulation of response to stimulus| |homeostatic process| |small molecule metabolic process| \\ === CRISPR Data === ^Screen^Score^ |ABT-702 5μM plus Deferoxamine 11μM R07 exp321|-1.77| |Cerivastatin 0.15μM R05 exp226|1.76| No correlation found to any other genes in chemogenomics.
