In the thymus, regulates the CD4(+)/CD8(+) double positive thymocytes selection threshold during T-cell ontogeny. In CD4 memory T-cells, is required to link T-cell antigen receptor (TCR) signaling to the production of IL2, IFNG and IL4 (through the regulation of CREB and MEF2). Regulates the differentiation and survival phases of osteoclasts and dendritic cells (DCs). Mediates DCs survival by linking TLR4 and the regulation of temporal expression of BCL2. Phosphorylates the transcription activator CREB1 on 'Ser-133' in hippocampal neuron nuclei and contribute to memory consolidation and long term potentiation (LTP) in the hippocampus. Can activate the MAP kinases MAPK1/ERK2, MAPK8/JNK1 and MAPK14/p38 and stimulate transcription through the phosphorylation of ELK1 and ATF2. Can also phosphorylate in vitro CREBBP, PRM2, MEF2A and STMN1/OP18. {ECO:0000269|PubMed:10617605, ECO:0000269|PubMed:17909078, ECO:0000269|PubMed:18829949, ECO:0000269|PubMed:7961813, ECO:0000269|PubMed:8065343, ECO:0000269|PubMed:8855261, ECO:0000269|PubMed:8980227, ECO:0000269|PubMed:9154845}. |Pkinase| |Pkinase Tyr| |myeloid dendritic cell cytokine production| |dendritic cell cytokine production| |myeloid leukocyte cytokine production| |calcium-dependent protein serine/threonine kinase activity| |myeloid dendritic cell differentiation| |myeloid dendritic cell activation| |cytokine production involved in immune response| |regulation of T cell differentiation in thymus| |calmodulin-dependent protein kinase activity| |dendritic cell differentiation| |long-term memory| |regulation of osteoclast differentiation| |postsynapse| |myeloid leukocyte differentiation| |regulation of myeloid leukocyte differentiation| |memory| |fibrillar center| |regulation of T cell differentiation| |cytokine production| |regulation of lymphocyte differentiation| |peptidyl-serine phosphorylation| |production of molecular mediator of immune response| |protein autophosphorylation| |peptidyl-serine modification| |calmodulin binding| |myeloid cell differentiation| |regulation of myeloid cell differentiation| |learning or memory| |regulation of leukocyte differentiation| |cognition| |regulation of T cell activation| |leukocyte differentiation| |glutamatergic synapse| |regulation of hemopoiesis| |inflammatory response| |regulation of lymphocyte activation| |myeloid leukocyte mediated immunity| |hemopoiesis| |behavior| |myeloid leukocyte activation| |regulation of leukocyte activation| |hematopoietic or lymphoid organ development| |adaptive immune response| |regulation of cell activation| |immune system development| |leukocyte mediated immunity| |peptidyl-amino acid modification| |leukocyte activation| |protein phosphorylation| |cell activation| |immune effector process| |phosphorylation| |defense response| |nervous system process| |ATP binding| |positive regulation of transcription, DNA-templated| |positive regulation of nucleic acid-templated transcription| |positive regulation of RNA biosynthetic process| |regulation of immune system process| |intracellular signal transduction| |positive regulation of RNA metabolic process| |regulation of cell differentiation| |immune response| |positive regulation of nucleobase-containing compound metabolic process| |positive regulation of macromolecule biosynthetic process| |system process| |positive regulation of cellular biosynthetic process| |positive regulation of gene expression| |positive regulation of biosynthetic process| \\ === CRISPR Data === ^Screen^Score^ |[[:results:exp143|Phenformin 20μM R03 exp143]]|1.74| No correlation found to any other genes in chemogenomics.
