Component of one of the cell nuclear antigen loader complexes, CTF18-replication factor C (CTF18-RFC), which consists of CTF18, CTF8, DCC1, RFC2, RFC3, RFC4 and RFC5. The CTF18-RFC complex binds to single- stranded and primed DNAs and has weak ATPase activity that is stimulated by the presence of primed DNA, replication protein A (RPA) and by proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA). The CTF18- RFC complex catalyzes the ATP-dependent loading of PCNA onto primed and gapped DNA. It also interacts with and stimulates DNA polymerase POLH. {ECO:0000269|PubMed:12766176, ECO:0000269|PubMed:12930902, ECO:0000269|PubMed:17545166}. |RuvB N| |AAA 5| |AAA| |regulation of DNA-directed DNA polymerase activity| |positive regulation of DNA-directed DNA polymerase activity| |Ctf18 RFC-like complex| |DNA clamp loader activity| |single-stranded DNA helicase activity| |regulation of DNA-dependent DNA replication| |positive regulation of DNA biosynthetic process| |regulation of DNA replication| |DNA duplex unwinding| |regulation of DNA biosynthetic process| |DNA geometric change| |positive regulation of DNA metabolic process| |DNA replication| |DNA conformation change| |regulation of DNA metabolic process| |positive regulation of transferase activity| |regulation of transferase activity| |chromosome organization| |cell cycle| |positive regulation of catalytic activity| |ATP binding| |cellular macromolecule biosynthetic process| |macromolecule biosynthetic process| |positive regulation of molecular function| |positive regulation of nucleobase-containing compound metabolic process| |positive regulation of macromolecule biosynthetic process| |positive regulation of cellular biosynthetic process| |membrane| |positive regulation of biosynthetic process| \\ === CRISPR Data === ^Screen^Score^ |MLN-4924 0.2μM R00 exp21|-1.83| |CAY10603 0.55μM R08 exp467|1.79| ^Gene^Correlation^ |DSCC1|0.564| |CHTF8|0.564| Global Fraction of Cell Lines Where Essential: 16/739 ^Tissue^Fraction Of Cell Lines Where Essential^ |1290807.0|0/1| |909776.0|0/1| |bile duct|0/28| |blood|0/28| |bone|1/26| |breast|0/33| |central nervous system|3/56| |cervix|0/4| |colorectal|0/17| |esophagus|0/13| |fibroblast|1/1| |gastric|1/16| |kidney|2/21| |liver|0/20| |lung|0/75| |lymphocyte|0/16| |ovary|0/26| |pancreas|0/24| |peripheral nervous system|1/16| |plasma cell|0/15| |prostate|0/1| |skin|0/24| |soft tissue|0/9| |thyroid|0/2| |upper aerodigestive|0/22| |urinary tract|0/29| |uterus|0/5| == Essentiality in NALM6 == * **Essentiality Rank**: 1717 * **Expression level (log2 read counts)**: 6.89
