Lack of Dol-P-Man results in defective surface expression of GPI-anchored proteins. Dol-P-Man is synthesized from GDP-mannose and dolichol-phosphate on the cytosolic side of the ER by the enzyme dolichyl-phosphate mannosyltransferase. The protein encoded by this gene is a subunit of dolichyl-phosphate mannosyltransferase and acts as a stabilizer subunit of the dolichyl-phosphate mannosyltransferase complex. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]. * **UniProt Summary**: Stabilizer subunit of the dolichol-phosphate mannose (DPM) synthase complex; tethers catalytic subunit DPM1 to the ER. {ECO:0000269|PubMed:10835346}. |DPM3| |mannosyltransferase complex| |dolichol-phosphate-mannose synthase complex| |dolichyl-phosphate beta-D-mannosyltransferase activity| |peptidyl-tryptophan modification| |protein C-linked glycosylation via 2-alpha-mannosyl-L-tryptophan| |protein C-linked glycosylation via tryptophan| |protein C-linked glycosylation| |protein O-linked mannosylation| |protein mannosylation| |GPI anchor biosynthetic process| |GPI anchor metabolic process| |protein N-linked glycosylation via asparagine| |peptidyl-asparagine modification| |mannosylation| |glycolipid biosynthetic process| |protein N-linked glycosylation| |protein lipidation| |lipoprotein biosynthetic process| |integral component of endoplasmic reticulum membrane| |glycolipid metabolic process| |phosphatidylinositol biosynthetic process| |liposaccharide metabolic process| |protein O-linked glycosylation| |lipoprotein metabolic process| |membrane lipid biosynthetic process| |phosphatidylinositol metabolic process| |membrane lipid metabolic process| |glycerophospholipid biosynthetic process| |glycerolipid biosynthetic process| |phospholipid biosynthetic process| |macromolecule glycosylation| |protein glycosylation| |glycosylation| |regulation of protein stability| |glycerophospholipid metabolic process| |glycoprotein biosynthetic process| |phospholipid metabolic process| |glycerolipid metabolic process| |glycoprotein metabolic process| |carbohydrate metabolic process| |organophosphate biosynthetic process| |lipid biosynthetic process| |carbohydrate derivative biosynthetic process| |peptidyl-amino acid modification| |organophosphate metabolic process| |endoplasmic reticulum membrane| |cellular lipid metabolic process| |endoplasmic reticulum| |carbohydrate derivative metabolic process| |lipid metabolic process| |organonitrogen compound biosynthetic process| |cellular macromolecule biosynthetic process| |macromolecule biosynthetic process| |membrane| \\ === CRISPR Data === ^Screen^Score^ |Bisphenol S 100μM R08 exp458|-2.36| |LY2090314 0.003μM R08 exp499|1.77| ^Gene^Correlation^ |ALG9|0.633| |ALG6|0.539| |MPDU1|0.531| |DPM1|0.53| |ALG3|0.53| |SEC62|0.493| |SEC63|0.492| |DHRSX|0.48| |ALG5|0.463| |MBTPS2|0.451| |DNAJC3|0.448| |SRD5A3|0.438| |CBFB|0.435| |ALG12|0.433| |ALG8|0.427| |MANF|0.421| |DPAGT1|0.417| |ALG1|0.417| |CHKA|0.409| |DOLK|0.408| |UGP2|0.407| |ATP2A2|0.406| |DNAJB11|0.403| |PMM2|0.4| |TRMT61A|0.4| Global Fraction of Cell Lines Where Essential: 6/739 ^Tissue^Fraction Of Cell Lines Where Essential^ |1290807.0|0/1| |909776.0|0/1| |bile duct|0/28| |blood|1/28| |bone|0/26| |breast|0/33| |central nervous system|0/56| |cervix|0/4| |colorectal|0/17| |esophagus|0/13| |fibroblast|0/1| |gastric|0/16| |kidney|0/21| |liver|1/20| |lung|0/75| |lymphocyte|0/16| |ovary|0/26| |pancreas|0/24| |peripheral nervous system|0/16| |plasma cell|3/15| |prostate|0/1| |skin|0/24| |soft tissue|0/9| |thyroid|0/2| |upper aerodigestive|0/22| |urinary tract|0/29| |uterus|0/5| == Essentiality in NALM6 == * **Essentiality Rank**: 5159 * **Expression level (log2 read counts)**: 2.56
