This protein binds to the EDA-A2 isoform of ectodysplasin, which plays an important role in maintenance of hair and teeth. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encodes distinct protein isoforms. [provided by RefSeq, Apr 2016]. * **UniProt Summary**: Receptor for EDA isoform A2, but not for EDA isoform A1. Mediates the activation of the NF-kappa-B and JNK pathways. Activation seems to be mediated by binding to TRAF3 and TRAF6. {ECO:0000269|PubMed:12270937}. |TNFR c6| |ectodermal cell differentiation| |tumor necrosis factor-activated receptor activity| |ectoderm development| |intrinsic apoptotic signaling pathway by p53 class mediator| |tumor necrosis factor-mediated signaling pathway| |signal transduction by p53 class mediator| |positive regulation of JNK cascade| |intrinsic apoptotic signaling pathway| |positive regulation of NF-kappaB transcription factor activity| |positive regulation of stress-activated MAPK cascade| |positive regulation of stress-activated protein kinase signaling cascade| |positive regulation of I-kappaB kinase/NF-kappaB signaling| |regulation of JNK cascade| |signaling receptor activity| |regulation of stress-activated MAPK cascade| |regulation of I-kappaB kinase/NF-kappaB signaling| |regulation of stress-activated protein kinase signaling cascade| |cellular response to tumor necrosis factor| |positive regulation of DNA-binding transcription factor activity| |response to tumor necrosis factor| |apoptotic signaling pathway| |epidermis development| |regulation of DNA-binding transcription factor activity| |positive regulation of MAPK cascade| |cytokine-mediated signaling pathway| |regulation of cellular response to stress| |regulation of MAPK cascade| |apoptotic process| |cellular response to cytokine stimulus| |positive regulation of protein phosphorylation| |positive regulation of intracellular signal transduction| |programmed cell death| |positive regulation of phosphorylation| |cell death| |response to cytokine| |positive regulation of phosphorus metabolic process| |positive regulation of phosphate metabolic process| |positive regulation of protein modification process| |integral component of plasma membrane| |regulation of protein phosphorylation| |regulation of response to stress| |regulation of phosphorylation| |positive regulation of cellular protein metabolic process| |positive regulation of signal transduction| |intracellular signal transduction| |positive regulation of protein metabolic process| |tissue development| |positive regulation of molecular function| |regulation of phosphate metabolic process| |regulation of phosphorus metabolic process| |positive regulation of cell communication| |positive regulation of signaling| |regulation of intracellular signal transduction| |regulation of protein modification process| \\ === CRISPR Data === ^Screen^Score^ |[[:results:exp230|Epigallocatechin gallate 20μM R05 exp230]]|1.84| |[[:results:exp235|Geldanamycin 0.01μM R05 exp235]]|2.34| No correlation found to any other genes in chemogenomics.
