E-NTPDases are a family of ecto-nucleosidases that hydrolyze 5'-triphosphates. This ecto-ATPase is an integral membrane protein. Alternative splicing of this gene results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]. * **UniProt Summary**: In the nervous system, could hydrolyze ATP and other nucleotides to regulate purinergic neurotransmission. Hydrolyzes ADP only to a marginal extent. The order of activity with different substrates is ATP > GTP > CTP = ITP > UTP >> ADP = UDP. |GDA1 CD39| |purine nucleoside diphosphate catabolic process| |purine ribonucleoside diphosphate catabolic process| |nucleoside-diphosphatase activity| |ribonucleoside diphosphate catabolic process| |nucleoside-triphosphatase activity| |nucleoside diphosphate catabolic process| |nucleobase-containing small molecule catabolic process| |purine ribonucleoside diphosphate metabolic process| |purine nucleoside diphosphate metabolic process| |ribonucleoside diphosphate metabolic process| |nucleoside phosphate catabolic process| |nucleoside diphosphate metabolic process| |basement membrane| |nucleobase-containing small molecule biosynthetic process| |organophosphate catabolic process| |platelet activation| |blood coagulation| |coagulation| |hemostasis| |nucleobase-containing compound catabolic process| |heterocycle catabolic process| |cellular nitrogen compound catabolic process| |small molecule catabolic process| |aromatic compound catabolic process| |nucleoside phosphate metabolic process| |wound healing| |organic cyclic compound catabolic process| |regulation of body fluid levels| |nucleobase-containing small molecule metabolic process| |response to wounding| |small molecule biosynthetic process| |organophosphate metabolic process| |endoplasmic reticulum membrane| |cell activation| |nucleobase-containing compound biosynthetic process| |heterocycle biosynthetic process| |aromatic compound biosynthetic process| |organic cyclic compound biosynthetic process| |G protein-coupled receptor signaling pathway| |ATP binding| |cellular nitrogen compound biosynthetic process| |small molecule metabolic process| |organic substance catabolic process| |cellular catabolic process| \\ === CRISPR Data === ^Screen^Score^ |CB-839 10μM R05 exp224|-2.12| |Ethanol 0.003 R08 exp437|-1.92| |Genistein 15μM R07 exp360|-1.75| |GSK626616 14μM R08 exp485|-1.75| |Pifithrin-alpha 20μM R07 exp390|-1.75| No correlation found to any other genes in chemogenomics.
