In the guanine nucleotide pathway, there are 2 enzymes involved in converting IMP to GMP, namely IMP dehydrogenase (IMPD1), which catalyzes the oxidation of IMP to XMP, and GMP synthetase, which catalyzes the amination of XMP to GMP. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]. * **UniProt Summary**: Involved in the de novo synthesis of guanine nucleotides which are not only essential for DNA and RNA synthesis, but also provide GTP, which is involved in a number of cellular processes important for cell division. |GATase| |ExsB| |Peptidase C26| |NAD synthase| |GMP synt C| |Asn synthase| |tRNA Me trans| |GMP synthase (glutamine-hydrolyzing) activity| |GMP synthase activity| |GMP biosynthetic process| |pyrophosphatase activity| |purine nucleobase biosynthetic process| |guanosine-containing compound biosynthetic process| |GMP metabolic process| |purine ribonucleoside monophosphate biosynthetic process| |purine nucleoside monophosphate biosynthetic process| |nucleobase biosynthetic process| |purine nucleobase metabolic process| |purine ribonucleoside biosynthetic process| |ribonucleoside biosynthetic process| |purine nucleoside biosynthetic process| |glutamine metabolic process| |ribonucleoside monophosphate biosynthetic process| |purine ribonucleoside monophosphate metabolic process| |purine nucleoside monophosphate metabolic process| |nucleoside biosynthetic process| |guanosine-containing compound metabolic process| |glycosyl compound biosynthetic process| |nucleobase metabolic process| |nucleoside monophosphate biosynthetic process| |pigment biosynthetic process| |ribonucleoside monophosphate metabolic process| |purine ribonucleoside metabolic process| |pigment metabolic process| |purine nucleoside metabolic process| |glutamine family amino acid metabolic process| |nucleoside monophosphate metabolic process| |ribonucleoside metabolic process| |nucleobase-containing small molecule biosynthetic process| |nucleoside metabolic process| |glycosyl compound metabolic process| |purine ribonucleotide biosynthetic process| |purine nucleotide biosynthetic process| |ribonucleotide biosynthetic process| |ribose phosphate biosynthetic process| |purine-containing compound biosynthetic process| |alpha-amino acid metabolic process| |nucleotide biosynthetic process| |nucleoside phosphate biosynthetic process| |cellular amino acid metabolic process| |purine ribonucleotide metabolic process| |ribonucleotide metabolic process| |purine nucleotide metabolic process| |ribose phosphate metabolic process| |purine-containing compound metabolic process| |nucleotide metabolic process| |nucleoside phosphate metabolic process| |organophosphate biosynthetic process| |nucleobase-containing small molecule metabolic process| |small molecule biosynthetic process| |carbohydrate derivative biosynthetic process| |organophosphate metabolic process| |carboxylic acid metabolic process| |oxoacid metabolic process| |organic acid metabolic process| |carbohydrate derivative metabolic process| |nucleobase-containing compound biosynthetic process| |heterocycle biosynthetic process| |aromatic compound biosynthetic process| |organic cyclic compound biosynthetic process| |organonitrogen compound biosynthetic process| |ATP binding| |cellular nitrogen compound biosynthetic process| |small molecule metabolic process| \\ === CRISPR Data === ^Screen^Score^ |Amiloride 100μM R08 exp447|-1.75| |UNC2400 2μM R03 exp156|1.72| |A-395N 10μM R05 exp219|1.74| |Pyronaridine 1μM R06 exp295|1.74| |MS094 2μM R03 exp136|1.77| No correlation found to any other genes in chemogenomics.
