Required for normal cardiac valve formation and normal heart function. Promotes smooth muscle cell proliferation. May be involved in macrophage-mediated cellular proliferation. It is mitogenic for fibroblasts, but not endothelial cells. It is able to bind EGF receptor/EGFR with higher affinity than EGF itself and is a far more potent mitogen for smooth muscle cells than EGF. Also acts as a diphtheria toxin receptor. No Pfam Domain information is available for this gene. |regulation of elastin biosynthetic process| |negative regulation of elastin biosynthetic process| |wound healing, spreading of epidermal cells| |positive regulation of keratinocyte migration| |negative regulation of glycoprotein biosynthetic process| |regulation of keratinocyte migration| |negative regulation of glycoprotein metabolic process| |wound healing, spreading of cells| |epiboly involved in wound healing| |epiboly| |ERBB2 signaling pathway| |epidermal growth factor receptor binding| |clathrin-coated endocytic vesicle membrane| |regulation of glycoprotein biosynthetic process| |regulation of glycoprotein metabolic process| |negative regulation of epidermal growth factor receptor signaling pathway| |morphogenesis of an epithelial sheet| |epidermal growth factor receptor signaling pathway| |negative regulation of ERBB signaling pathway| |clathrin-coated vesicle membrane| |positive regulation of wound healing| |positive regulation of response to wounding| |endocytic vesicle membrane| |ERBB signaling pathway| |regulation of epidermal growth factor receptor signaling pathway| |positive regulation of smooth muscle cell proliferation| |regulation of ERBB signaling pathway| |regulation of smooth muscle cell proliferation| |regulation of wound healing| |positive regulation of epithelial cell migration| |growth factor activity| |positive regulation of cell growth| |positive regulation of protein kinase B signaling| |regulation of response to wounding| |heparin binding| |positive regulation of peptidyl-tyrosine phosphorylation| |cell chemotaxis| |regulation of epithelial cell migration| |regulation of protein kinase B signaling| |regulation of heart contraction| |regulation of peptidyl-tyrosine phosphorylation| |positive regulation of growth| |regulation of blood circulation| |muscle organ development| |MAPK cascade| |signal transduction by protein phosphorylation| |regulation of cell growth| |morphogenesis of an epithelium| |muscle structure development| |wound healing| |positive regulation of cell migration| |transmembrane receptor protein tyrosine kinase signaling pathway| |positive regulation of cell motility| |positive regulation of cellular component movement| |chemotaxis| |taxis| |positive regulation of locomotion| |tissue morphogenesis| |response to wounding| |regulation of system process| |cell surface| |regulation of growth| |enzyme linked receptor protein signaling pathway| |regulation of cell migration| |membrane organization| |regulation of cell motility| |positive regulation of cell population proliferation| |cell migration| |protein phosphorylation| |regulation of locomotion| |regulation of cellular component movement| |positive regulation of protein phosphorylation| |positive regulation of intracellular signal transduction| |positive regulation of phosphorylation| |localization of cell| |cell motility| |negative regulation of protein metabolic process| |epithelium development| |positive regulation of phosphorus metabolic process| |positive regulation of phosphate metabolic process| |positive regulation of protein modification process| |negative regulation of signal transduction| |phosphorylation| |locomotion| |negative regulation of cell communication| |negative regulation of signaling| |negative regulation of cellular macromolecule biosynthetic process| |integral component of plasma membrane| |regulation of protein phosphorylation| |negative regulation of macromolecule biosynthetic process| |regulation of response to stress| |negative regulation of cellular biosynthetic process| |negative regulation of biosynthetic process| |movement of cell or subcellular component| |regulation of phosphorylation| |extracellular space| |positive regulation of cellular protein metabolic process| |regulation of cell population proliferation| |negative regulation of response to stimulus| |positive regulation of signal transduction| |intracellular signal transduction| |positive regulation of protein metabolic process| |positive regulation of multicellular organismal process| |tissue development| |regulation of phosphate metabolic process| |regulation of phosphorus metabolic process| |positive regulation of cell communication| |positive regulation of signaling| |regulation of intracellular signal transduction| |regulation of protein modification process| |extracellular region| \\ === CRISPR Data === ^Screen^Score^ |[[:results:exp332|Adefovir 20μM R07 exp332]]|1.85| No correlation found to any other genes in chemogenomics.
