Upon binding to R-spondins (RSPO1, RSPO2, RSPO3 or RSPO4), associates with phosphorylated LRP6 and frizzled receptors that are activated by extracellular Wnt receptors, triggering the canonical Wnt signaling pathway to increase expression of target genes. In contrast to classical G-protein coupled receptors, does not activate heterotrimeric G-proteins to transduce the signal. May act as a tumor suppressor. {ECO:0000269|PubMed:21727895, ECO:0000269|PubMed:22615920}. |7tm 1| |LRR 4| |protein-hormone receptor activity| |bone regeneration| |Roundabout binding| |negative chemotaxis| |tissue regeneration| |trans-Golgi network membrane| |transmembrane signaling receptor activity| |vesicle| |positive regulation of canonical Wnt signaling pathway| |regeneration| |heparin binding| |positive regulation of Wnt signaling pathway| |axon guidance| |neuron projection guidance| |regulation of canonical Wnt signaling pathway| |Wnt signaling pathway| |cell-cell signaling by wnt| |regulation of Wnt signaling pathway| |axonogenesis| |developmental growth| |growth| |axon development| |cell surface receptor signaling pathway involved in cell-cell signaling| |cell morphogenesis involved in neuron differentiation| |wound healing| |neuron projection morphogenesis| |plasma membrane bounded cell projection morphogenesis| |cell projection morphogenesis| |positive regulation of cell migration| |cell part morphogenesis| |positive regulation of cell motility| |positive regulation of cellular component movement| |chemotaxis| |positive regulation of locomotion| |taxis| |cell morphogenesis involved in differentiation| |response to wounding| |neuron projection development| |cell morphogenesis| |G protein-coupled receptor activity| |neuron development| |cellular component morphogenesis| |regulation of cell migration| |regulation of cell motility| |regulation of locomotion| |regulation of cellular component movement| |neuron differentiation| |cell-cell signaling| |plasma membrane bounded cell projection organization| |cell projection organization| |locomotion| |G protein-coupled receptor signaling pathway| |integral component of plasma membrane| |generation of neurons| |movement of cell or subcellular component| |extracellular space| |neurogenesis| |cell development| |positive regulation of signal transduction| |tissue development| |positive regulation of cell communication| |positive regulation of signaling| \\ === CRISPR Data === ^Screen^Score^ |[[:results:exp467|CAY10603 0.55μM R08 exp467]]|1.83| No correlation found to any other genes in chemogenomics.
