This protein is the largest member of the LTBP family possessing unique regions and with most similarity to the fibrillins. It has thus been suggested that it may have multiple functions: as a member of the TGF-beta latent complex, as a structural component of microfibrils, and a role in cell adhesion. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]. * **UniProt Summary**: May play an integral structural role in elastic-fiber architectural organization and/or assembly. |EGF CA| |cEGF| |TB| |microfibril binding| |growth factor binding| |cell| |transforming growth factor beta receptor signaling pathway| |extracellular matrix structural constituent| |cellular response to transforming growth factor beta stimulus| |protein secretion| |establishment of protein localization to extracellular region| |response to transforming growth factor beta| |protein localization to extracellular region| |heparin binding| |peptide secretion| |transmembrane receptor protein serine/threonine kinase signaling pathway| |extracellular matrix| |protein targeting| |collagen-containing extracellular matrix| |supramolecular fiber organization| |cellular response to growth factor stimulus| |response to growth factor| |enzyme linked receptor protein signaling pathway| |calcium ion binding| |intracellular protein transport| |secretion by cell| |export from cell| |secretion| |cellular response to endogenous stimulus| |response to endogenous stimulus| |protein transport| |intracellular transport| |peptide transport| |amide transport| |cellular protein localization| |extracellular space| |cellular macromolecule localization| |establishment of protein localization| |establishment of localization in cell| |nitrogen compound transport| |extracellular region| \\ === CRISPR Data === No hits were found.
