Inhibits NF-kappa-B activity without affecting its nuclear translocation upon stimulation. Inhibits DNA-binding of RELA and NFKB1/p50, and of the NF-kappa-B p65-p50 heterodimer and the NF-kappa-B p50-p50 homodimer. Seems also to activate NF- kappa-B-mediated transcription. In vitro, upon association with NFKB1/p50 has transcriptional activation activity and, together with NFKB1/p50 and RELA, is recruited to LCN2 promoters. Promotes transcription of LCN2 and DEFB4. Is recruited to IL-6 promoters and activates IL-6 but decreases TNF-alpha production in response to LPS. Seems to be involved in the induction of inflammatory genes activated through TLR/IL-1 receptor signaling. May promote apoptosis (By similarity). {ECO:0000250, ECO:0000269|PubMed:16513645, ECO:0000269|PubMed:16622025}. |Ank 2| |positive regulation of T-helper 17 cell differentiation| |positive regulation of T-helper 17 type immune response| |regulation of T-helper 17 cell differentiation| |regulation of T-helper 17 type immune response| |positive regulation of T-helper cell differentiation| |positive regulation of CD4-positive, alpha-beta T cell differentiation| |positive regulation of CD4-positive, alpha-beta T cell activation| |regulation of T-helper cell differentiation| |positive regulation of alpha-beta T cell differentiation| |regulation of CD4-positive, alpha-beta T cell differentiation| |positive regulation of alpha-beta T cell activation| |regulation of CD4-positive, alpha-beta T cell activation| |regulation of alpha-beta T cell differentiation| |cytoplasmic ribonucleoprotein granule| |positive regulation of T cell differentiation| |regulation of alpha-beta T cell activation| |positive regulation of lymphocyte differentiation| |positive regulation of adaptive immune response based on somatic recombination of immune receptors built from immunoglobulin superfamily domains| |positive regulation of adaptive immune response| |regulation of T cell differentiation| |positive regulation of inflammatory response| |regulation of adaptive immune response based on somatic recombination of immune receptors built from immunoglobulin superfamily domains| |positive regulation of leukocyte differentiation| |regulation of adaptive immune response| |regulation of lymphocyte differentiation| |T cell receptor signaling pathway| |positive regulation of hemopoiesis| |positive regulation of T cell activation| |positive regulation of leukocyte cell-cell adhesion| |positive regulation of immune effector process| |positive regulation of cell-cell adhesion| |regulation of leukocyte differentiation| |antigen receptor-mediated signaling pathway| |regulation of leukocyte cell-cell adhesion| |regulation of T cell activation| |regulation of inflammatory response| |positive regulation of lymphocyte activation| |regulation of cell-cell adhesion| |nuclear speck| |positive regulation of cell adhesion| |positive regulation of leukocyte activation| |positive regulation of cell activation| |immune response-activating cell surface receptor signaling pathway| |regulation of hemopoiesis| |regulation of immune effector process| |positive regulation of defense response| |immune response-regulating cell surface receptor signaling pathway| |inflammatory response| |regulation of lymphocyte activation| |immune response-activating signal transduction| |immune response-regulating signaling pathway| |regulation of leukocyte activation| |positive regulation of response to external stimulus| |activation of immune response| |regulation of cell activation| |regulation of cell adhesion| |regulation of defense response| |positive regulation of immune response| |positive regulation of cell differentiation| |regulation of response to external stimulus| |positive regulation of immune system process| |regulation of immune response| |defense response| |positive regulation of developmental process| |regulation of response to stress| |regulation of immune system process| |positive regulation of multicellular organismal process| |regulation of cell differentiation| \\ === CRISPR Data === ^Screen^Score^ |[[:results:exp292|Menadione 5μM R06 exp292]]|-2.22| |[[:results:exp48|Mubritinib 0.2μM R01 exp48]]|-1.86| No correlation found to any other genes in chemogenomics.
