The ATP gamma phosphate is transferred to the NDP beta phosphate via a ping-pong mechanism, using a phosphorylated active-site intermediate. Through the catalyzed exchange of gamma- phosphate between di- and triphosphonucleosides participates in regulation of intracellular nucleotide homeostasis (PubMed:10799505). Binds to anionic phospholipids, predominantly to cardiolipin; the binding inhibits its phosphotransfer activity (PubMed:18635542, PubMed:23150663). Acts as mitochondria-specific NDK; its association with cardiolipin-containing mitochondrial inner membrane is coupled to respiration suggesting that ADP locally regenerated in the mitochondrion innermembrane space by its activity is directly taken up via ANT ADP/ATP translocase into the matrix space to stimulate respiratory ATP regeneration (PubMed:18635542). Proposed to increase GTP-loading on dynamin- related GTPase OPA1 in mitochondria (PubMed:24970086). In vitro can induce liposome cross-linking suggesting that it can cross- link inner and outer membranes to form contact sites, and promotes intermembrane migration of anionic phosphoplipids. Promotes the redistribution of cardiolipin between the mitochondrial inner membrane and outer membrane which is implicated in pro-apoptotic signaling (PubMed:18635542, PubMed:17028143, PubMed:23150663). {ECO:0000269|PubMed:10799505, ECO:0000269|PubMed:17028143, ECO:0000269|PubMed:18635542, ECO:0000269|PubMed:23150663, ECO:0000305, ECO:0000305|PubMed:24970086}. |NDK| |UTP biosynthetic process| |GTP biosynthetic process| |UTP metabolic process| |cardiolipin binding| |guanosine-containing compound biosynthetic process| |CTP biosynthetic process| |CTP metabolic process| |pyrimidine ribonucleoside triphosphate biosynthetic process| |pyrimidine ribonucleoside triphosphate metabolic process| |pyrimidine nucleoside triphosphate biosynthetic process| |nucleoside diphosphate kinase activity| |pyrimidine ribonucleotide biosynthetic process| |ribonucleoside biosynthetic process| |purine ribonucleoside biosynthetic process| |pyrimidine nucleoside triphosphate metabolic process| |purine nucleoside biosynthetic process| |pyrimidine ribonucleotide metabolic process| |GTP metabolic process| |nucleobase-containing small molecule interconversion| |nucleoside biosynthetic process| |guanosine-containing compound metabolic process| |glycosyl compound biosynthetic process| |purine ribonucleoside triphosphate biosynthetic process| |purine nucleoside triphosphate biosynthetic process| |pyrimidine nucleotide biosynthetic process| |ribonucleoside triphosphate biosynthetic process| |pyrimidine-containing compound biosynthetic process| |nucleoside diphosphate phosphorylation| |purine ribonucleoside triphosphate metabolic process| |purine ribonucleoside metabolic process| |nucleotide phosphorylation| |pyrimidine nucleotide metabolic process| |nucleoside triphosphate biosynthetic process| |purine nucleoside metabolic process| |ribonucleoside triphosphate metabolic process| |purine nucleoside triphosphate metabolic process| |ribonucleoside metabolic process| |mitochondrial intermembrane space| |nucleoside diphosphate metabolic process| |nucleoside triphosphate metabolic process| |pyrimidine-containing compound metabolic process| |nucleobase-containing small molecule biosynthetic process| |nucleoside metabolic process| |glycosyl compound metabolic process| |purine ribonucleotide biosynthetic process| |purine nucleotide biosynthetic process| |ribonucleotide biosynthetic process| |ribose phosphate biosynthetic process| |purine-containing compound biosynthetic process| |nucleotide biosynthetic process| |nucleoside phosphate biosynthetic process| |lipid transport| |purine ribonucleotide metabolic process| |lipid localization| |ribonucleotide metabolic process| |purine nucleotide metabolic process| |ribose phosphate metabolic process| |purine-containing compound metabolic process| |mitochondrial matrix| |mitochondrial inner membrane| |nucleotide metabolic process| |nucleoside phosphate metabolic process| |organophosphate biosynthetic process| |nucleobase-containing small molecule metabolic process| |small molecule biosynthetic process| |carbohydrate derivative biosynthetic process| |organophosphate metabolic process| |carbohydrate derivative metabolic process| |nucleobase-containing compound biosynthetic process| |heterocycle biosynthetic process| |aromatic compound biosynthetic process| |mitochondrion| |phosphorylation| |organic cyclic compound biosynthetic process| |organonitrogen compound biosynthetic process| |ATP binding| |cellular nitrogen compound biosynthetic process| |small molecule metabolic process| \\ === CRISPR Data === No hits were found.
