Potent mitogen and chemoattractant for cells of mesenchymal origin. Required for normal skeleton formation during embryonic development, especially for normal development of the craniofacial skeleton and for normal development of the palate. Required for normal skin morphogenesis during embryonic development. Plays an important role in wound healing, where it appears to be involved in three stages: inflammation, proliferation and remodeling. Plays an important role in angiogenesis and blood vessel development. Involved in fibrotic processes, in which transformation of interstitial fibroblasts into myofibroblasts plus collagen deposition occurs. The CUB domain has mitogenic activity in coronary artery smooth muscle cells, suggesting a role beyond the maintenance of the latency of the PDGF domain. In the nucleus, PDGFC seems to have additional function. {ECO:0000269|PubMed:10806482, ECO:0000269|PubMed:10858496, ECO:0000269|PubMed:11297552, ECO:0000269|PubMed:11854040, ECO:0000269|PubMed:12032822, ECO:0000269|PubMed:15061151, ECO:0000269|PubMed:15372073, ECO:0000269|PubMed:15389578, ECO:0000269|PubMed:15728360, ECO:0000269|PubMed:15911618, ECO:0000269|PubMed:16439802, ECO:0000269|PubMed:18055825}. |CUB| |PDGF| |activation of transmembrane receptor protein tyrosine kinase activity| |platelet-derived growth factor receptor binding| |positive regulation of protein autophosphorylation| |platelet-derived growth factor receptor signaling pathway| |regulation of protein autophosphorylation| |positive regulation of fibroblast proliferation| |cellular response to amino acid stimulus| |regulation of fibroblast proliferation| |positive regulation of phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase signaling| |positive regulation of cell division| |positive regulation of cold-induced thermogenesis| |response to amino acid| |regulation of phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase signaling| |digestive tract development| |digestive system development| |regulation of cold-induced thermogenesis| |growth factor activity| |regulation of cell division| |bone development| |cellular response to acid chemical| |positive regulation of ERK1 and ERK2 cascade| |regulation of peptidyl-tyrosine phosphorylation| |positive regulation of MAP kinase activity| |regulation of ERK1 and ERK2 cascade| |endoplasmic reticulum lumen| |activation of protein kinase activity| |positive regulation of protein serine/threonine kinase activity| |regulation of MAP kinase activity| |response to acid chemical| |embryonic organ development| |skeletal system development| |positive regulation of cell migration| |transmembrane receptor protein tyrosine kinase signaling pathway| |regulation of protein serine/threonine kinase activity| |positive regulation of cell motility| |positive regulation of protein kinase activity| |positive regulation of cellular component movement| |positive regulation of MAPK cascade| |positive regulation of locomotion| |positive regulation of kinase activity| |cellular response to organonitrogen compound| |cell surface| |Golgi membrane| |positive regulation of transferase activity| |cellular response to nitrogen compound| |enzyme linked receptor protein signaling pathway| |regulation of MAPK cascade| |regulation of protein kinase activity| |cellular protein-containing complex assembly| |tube development| |regulation of cell migration| |regulation of kinase activity| |protein homodimerization activity| |regulation of cell motility| |positive regulation of cell population proliferation| |animal organ morphogenesis| |regulation of transferase activity| |embryo development| |central nervous system development| |regulation of locomotion| |regulation of cellular component movement| |response to organonitrogen compound| |positive regulation of protein phosphorylation| |positive regulation of intracellular signal transduction| |cellular response to oxygen-containing compound| |positive regulation of phosphorylation| |response to nitrogen compound| |positive regulation of phosphorus metabolic process| |positive regulation of phosphate metabolic process| |cellular response to endogenous stimulus| |positive regulation of protein modification process| |positive regulation of catalytic activity| |regulation of protein phosphorylation| |response to endogenous stimulus| |response to oxygen-containing compound| |protein-containing complex assembly| |regulation of phosphorylation| |extracellular space| |positive regulation of cellular protein metabolic process| |regulation of cell population proliferation| |positive regulation of signal transduction| |positive regulation of protein metabolic process| |positive regulation of multicellular organismal process| |positive regulation of molecular function| |regulation of phosphate metabolic process| |regulation of phosphorus metabolic process| |positive regulation of cell communication| |positive regulation of signaling| |regulation of intracellular signal transduction| |regulation of protein modification process| |protein-containing complex subunit organization| |extracellular region| \\ === CRISPR Data === ^Screen^Score^ |[[:results:exp448|Ammonium tetrathiomolybdate 10μM R08 exp448]]|-2.41| No correlation found to any other genes in chemogenomics.
