Alternatively spliced transcripts encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.[provided by RefSeq, Jun 2011]. * **UniProt Summary**: Growth factor active in angiogenesis and endothelial cell growth, stimulating their proliferation and migration. It binds to the receptor FLT1/VEGFR-1. Isoform PlGF-2 binds NRP1/neuropilin-1 and NRP2/neuropilin-2 in a heparin-dependent manner. Also promotes cell tumor growth. {ECO:0000269|PubMed:21215706}. |PDGF| |positive regulation of mast cell chemotaxis| |vascular endothelial growth factor receptor binding| |regulation of mast cell chemotaxis| |induction of positive chemotaxis| |vascular endothelial growth factor signaling pathway| |positive regulation of positive chemotaxis| |regulation of positive chemotaxis| |chemoattractant activity| |cellular response to vascular endothelial growth factor stimulus| |branching involved in ureteric bud morphogenesis| |positive chemotaxis| |ureteric bud morphogenesis| |mesonephric tubule morphogenesis| |regulation of morphogenesis of a branching structure| |sprouting angiogenesis| |nephron tubule morphogenesis| |nephron epithelium morphogenesis| |vascular endothelial growth factor receptor signaling pathway| |nephron morphogenesis| |renal tubule morphogenesis| |animal organ regeneration| |nephron tubule development| |renal tubule development| |kidney morphogenesis| |ureteric bud development| |positive regulation of cell division| |mesonephric tubule development| |mesonephric epithelium development| |positive regulation of leukocyte chemotaxis| |mesonephros development| |positive regulation of endothelial cell proliferation| |nephron epithelium development| |regulation of leukocyte chemotaxis| |nephron development| |positive regulation of leukocyte migration| |regulation of endothelial cell proliferation| |kidney epithelium development| |branching morphogenesis of an epithelial tube| |positive regulation of chemotaxis| |regeneration| |morphogenesis of a branching epithelium| |growth factor activity| |positive regulation of angiogenesis| |morphogenesis of a branching structure| |regulation of cell division| |heparin binding| |female pregnancy| |positive regulation of vasculature development| |positive regulation of epithelial cell proliferation| |regulation of leukocyte migration| |multi-multicellular organism process| |regulation of chemotaxis| |kidney development| |renal system development| |regulation of angiogenesis| |epithelial tube morphogenesis| |angiogenesis| |urogenital system development| |regulation of vasculature development| |regulation of epithelial cell proliferation| |response to hypoxia| |response to decreased oxygen levels| |response to oxygen levels| |blood vessel morphogenesis| |morphogenesis of an epithelium| |blood vessel development| |protein heterodimerization activity| |positive regulation of cell migration| |cellular response to growth factor stimulus| |transmembrane receptor protein tyrosine kinase signaling pathway| |vasculature development| |cardiovascular system development| |positive regulation of cell motility| |response to growth factor| |positive regulation of cellular component movement| |chemotaxis| |positive regulation of locomotion| |taxis| |tissue morphogenesis| |positive regulation of response to external stimulus| |cellular response to hormone stimulus| |tube morphogenesis| |enzyme linked receptor protein signaling pathway| |tube development| |regulation of cell migration| |circulatory system development| |protein homodimerization activity| |anatomical structure formation involved in morphogenesis| |response to hormone| |regulation of cell motility| |positive regulation of cell population proliferation| |animal organ morphogenesis| |regulation of locomotion| |regulation of cellular component movement| |multi-organism reproductive process| |positive regulation of protein phosphorylation| |response to drug| |positive regulation of phosphorylation| |regulation of anatomical structure morphogenesis| |regulation of response to external stimulus| |epithelium development| |cell-cell signaling| |positive regulation of phosphate metabolic process| |positive regulation of phosphorus metabolic process| |positive regulation of immune system process| |response to abiotic stimulus| |cellular response to endogenous stimulus| |positive regulation of protein modification process| |locomotion| |positive regulation of developmental process| |reproductive process| |reproduction| |regulation of protein phosphorylation| |response to endogenous stimulus| |regulation of phosphorylation| |extracellular space| |positive regulation of cellular protein metabolic process| |regulation of cell population proliferation| |regulation of immune system process| |positive regulation of protein metabolic process| |positive regulation of multicellular organismal process| |tissue development| |regulation of phosphate metabolic process| |regulation of phosphorus metabolic process| |regulation of protein modification process| |extracellular region| |membrane| \\ === CRISPR Data === ^Screen^Score^ |[[:results:exp501|Methotrexate 0.01μM R08 exp501]]|-2.44| |[[:results:exp85|UM0129480 7μM R02 exp85]]|1.7| No correlation found to any other genes in chemogenomics.
