Binding to class 4 semaphorins promotes downstream activation of RHOA and phosphorylation of ERBB2 at 'Tyr-1248'. Required for normal differentiation and migration of neuronal cells during brain corticogenesis and for normal embryonic brain development. Regulates the migration of cerebellar granule cells in the developing brain. Plays a role in RHOA activation and subsequent changes of the actin cytoskeleton. Plays a role in axon guidance, invasive growth and cell migration. May modulate the activity of RAC1 and CDC42. Down-regulates macrophage migration in wound- healing assays (in vitro) (By similarity). {ECO:0000250, ECO:0000269|PubMed:12183458, ECO:0000269|PubMed:12533544, ECO:0000269|PubMed:15184888}. |PSI| |Sema| |Plexin cytopl| |TIG| |semaphorin receptor complex| |semaphorin-plexin signaling pathway involved in axon guidance| |semaphorin receptor activity| |semaphorin-plexin signaling pathway involved in neuron projection guidance| |excitatory synapse assembly| |neuroblast proliferation| |semaphorin-plexin signaling pathway| |regulation of neuron migration| |stem cell proliferation| |neural precursor cell proliferation| |positive regulation of axonogenesis| |neural tube closure| |tube closure| |synapse assembly| |primary neural tube formation| |neural tube formation| |embryonic epithelial tube formation| |epithelial tube formation| |morphogenesis of embryonic epithelium| |tube formation| |regulation of cell shape| |positive regulation of cell morphogenesis involved in differentiation| |neural tube development| |homophilic cell adhesion via plasma membrane adhesion molecules| |regulation of axonogenesis| |cell-cell adhesion via plasma-membrane adhesion molecules| |axon guidance| |neuron projection guidance| |synapse organization| |negative regulation of cell adhesion| |positive regulation of neuron projection development| |regulation of cell morphogenesis involved in differentiation| |epithelial tube morphogenesis| |positive regulation of neuron differentiation| |axonogenesis| |positive regulation of cell projection organization| |axon development| |cell morphogenesis involved in neuron differentiation| |morphogenesis of an epithelium| |positive regulation of neurogenesis| |neuron projection morphogenesis| |regulation of GTPase activity| |plasma membrane bounded cell projection morphogenesis| |cell projection morphogenesis| |regulation of cell morphogenesis| |regulation of neuron projection development| |cell-cell adhesion| |cell part morphogenesis| |positive regulation of nervous system development| |positive regulation of cell development| |chemotaxis| |taxis| |cell population proliferation| |cell morphogenesis involved in differentiation| |tissue morphogenesis| |embryonic morphogenesis| |cell surface| |chordate embryonic development| |embryo development ending in birth or egg hatching| |tube morphogenesis| |regulation of neuron differentiation| |neuron projection development| |regulation of cell adhesion| |regulation of plasma membrane bounded cell projection organization| |regulation of cell projection organization| |cell morphogenesis| |brain development| |head development| |neuron development| |regulation of neurogenesis| |cellular component morphogenesis| |tube development| |regulation of cell migration| |anatomical structure formation involved in morphogenesis| |regulation of cell motility| |regulation of nervous system development| |cell adhesion| |regulation of cell development| |biological adhesion| |positive regulation of cell differentiation| |embryo development| |central nervous system development| |regulation of locomotion| |regulation of cellular component movement| |neuron differentiation| |regulation of anatomical structure morphogenesis| |epithelium development| |plasma membrane bounded cell projection organization| |cell projection organization| |positive regulation of cellular component organization| |regulation of hydrolase activity| |locomotion| |positive regulation of developmental process| |integral component of plasma membrane| |regulation of protein phosphorylation| |generation of neurons| |movement of cell or subcellular component| |regulation of phosphorylation| |neurogenesis| |cell development| |positive regulation of multicellular organismal process| |tissue development| |regulation of phosphate metabolic process| |regulation of phosphorus metabolic process| |regulation of cell differentiation| |regulation of protein modification process| \\ === CRISPR Data === ^Screen^Score^ |[[:results:exp496|Lead acetate 990μM R08 exp496]]|1.85| |[[:results:exp362|GSK-J4 1μM R07 exp362]]|1.95| No correlation found to any other genes in chemogenomics.
