This antigen possesses tumor epitopes capable of inducing HLA-A24-restricted and tumor-specific cytotoxic T lymphocytes in cancer patients and may be useful for specific immunotherapy. This gene product is found to be an important cellular factor for HIV-1 gene expression and viral replication. It also associates transiently with U6 and U4/U6 snRNPs during the recycling phase of the spliceosome cycle. This encoded protein is thought to be involved in the regulation of mRNA splicing. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]. * **UniProt Summary**: U6 snRNP-binding protein that functions as a recycling factor of the splicing machinery. Promotes the initial reassembly of U4 and U6 snRNPs following their ejection from the spliceosome during its maturation (PubMed:12032085). Also binds U6atac snRNPs and may function as a recycling factor for U4atac/U6atac spliceosomal snRNP, an initial step in the assembly of U12-type spliceosomal complex. The U12-type spliceosomal complex plays a role in the splicing of introns with non-canonical splice sites (PubMed:14749385). May also function as a substrate-targeting factor for deubiquitinases like USP4 and USP15. Recruits USP4 to ubiquitinated PRPF3 within the U4/U5/U6 tri-snRNP complex, promoting PRPF3 deubiquitination and thereby regulating the spliceosome U4/U5/U6 tri-snRNP spliceosomal complex disassembly (PubMed:20595234). May also recruit the deubiquitinase USP15 to histone H2B and mediate histone deubiquitination, thereby regulating gene expression and/or DNA repair (PubMed:24526689). May play a role in hematopoiesis probably through transcription regulation of specific genes including MYC (By similarity). {ECO:0000250|UniProtKB:Q9JLI8, ECO:0000269|PubMed:12032085, ECO:0000269|PubMed:14749385, ECO:0000269|PubMed:20595234, ECO:0000269|PubMed:24526689}. |RRM 1| |Lsm interact| |U6atac snRNA binding| |U6atac snRNP| |U4atac/U6atac snRNP| |positive regulation of histone deubiquitination| |regulation of histone deubiquitination| |U4/U6 snRNP| |ASAP complex| |U4 snRNA binding| |positive regulation of protein deubiquitination| |U6 snRNA binding| |spliceosomal tri-snRNP complex assembly| |regulation of protein deubiquitination| |ubiquitin-specific protease binding| |U4/U6 x U5 tri-snRNP complex| |spliceosomal snRNP assembly| |Cajal body| |regulation of alternative mRNA splicing, via spliceosome| |positive regulation of histone modification| |regulation of mRNA splicing, via spliceosome| |positive regulation of chromatin organization| |nucleosome assembly| |histone binding| |chromatin assembly| |positive regulation of protein modification by small protein conjugation or removal| |regulation of RNA splicing| |regulation of mRNA processing| |regulation of histone modification| |chromatin assembly or disassembly| |nucleosome organization| |positive regulation of chromosome organization| |DNA packaging| |regulation of chromatin organization| |protein-DNA complex assembly| |regulation of protein modification by small protein conjugation or removal| |ribonucleoprotein complex assembly| |protein-DNA complex subunit organization| |ribonucleoprotein complex subunit organization| |mRNA splicing, via spliceosome| |DNA conformation change| |RNA splicing, via transesterification reactions with bulged adenosine as nucleophile| |RNA splicing, via transesterification reactions| |regulation of mRNA metabolic process| |regulation of chromosome organization| |positive regulation of proteolysis| |RNA splicing| |nuclear speck| |ribonucleoprotein complex biogenesis| |mRNA processing| |positive regulation of organelle organization| |mRNA metabolic process| |chromatin organization| |regulation of proteolysis| |cellular protein-containing complex assembly| |RNA processing| |chromosome organization| |positive regulation of cellular component organization| |positive regulation of protein modification process| |regulation of organelle organization| |RNA binding| |protein-containing complex assembly| |positive regulation of cellular protein metabolic process| |RNA metabolic process| |positive regulation of protein metabolic process| |regulation of protein modification process| |protein-containing complex subunit organization| |gene expression| \\ === CRISPR Data === ^Screen^Score^ |2-Methoxyestradiol 0.55μM R07 exp310|-2.79| |Chlorpromazine 10μM R07 exp344|-2.64| |YM155 0.0002μM R01 exp61|-2.62| |Arsenate 40μM R06 exp264|-2.47| |D-Fructose 10000μM R06 exp279|-2.35| |Centrinone 0.5μM R07 exp343|-2.26| |GSK-J4 1-1.25μM to day4 R07 exp363|-2.05| |BML-284 0.09μM R08 exp460|-2| |Diepoxybutane 3μM R07 exp354|-1.95| |Erlotinib 10μM R05 exp216|-1.95| |Alda-1 10μM R06 exp262|-1.9| |∆-9-Tetrahydrocannabinol 30μM R08 exp445|-1.89| |GW501516 25μM R06 exp285|-1.87| |Artemisinin 50μM R08 exp450|-1.84| |Milciclib 2μM R08 exp502|-1.83| |ONC212 0.15μM R08 exp513|-1.83| |LLY-284 2.6μM R06 exp291|-1.75| |Colchicine 0.009μM R05 exp215|-1.72| |Pyrazinamide 100μM R08 exp516|-1.71| |Ethanol 0.01 R05 exp234|1.76| |Vemurafenib 6.6μM R02 exp89|1.84| |A-196 10μM R03 exp114|2.09| |PFI-2 4μM R05 exp239|2.7| |Dimethyl-Sulfoxide 1pc R03 exp120|3.52| ^Gene^Correlation^ |HGC6.3|0.479| Global Fraction of Cell Lines Where Essential: 516/739 ^Tissue^Fraction Of Cell Lines Where Essential^ |1290807.0|1/1| |909776.0|1/1| |bile duct|19/28| |blood|16/28| |bone|17/26| |breast|27/33| |central nervous system|43/56| |cervix|2/4| |colorectal|12/17| |esophagus|7/13| |fibroblast|1/1| |gastric|12/16| |kidney|11/21| |liver|14/20| |lung|47/75| |lymphocyte|12/16| |ovary|23/26| |pancreas|17/24| |peripheral nervous system|8/16| |plasma cell|8/15| |prostate|1/1| |skin|17/24| |soft tissue|7/9| |thyroid|1/2| |upper aerodigestive|15/22| |urinary tract|17/29| |uterus|3/5| == Essentiality in NALM6 == * **Essentiality Rank**: 2078 * **Expression level (log2 read counts)**: 7.17
