Subunit A is transcriptionally active and its transcription activity is strongly enhanced by binding to the dimeric complex of the SIII regulatory subunits B and C (elongin BC complex) (PubMed:7821821). In embryonic stem cells, the elongin BC complex is recruited by EPOP to Polycomb group (PcG) target genes in order generate genomic region that display both active and repressive chromatin properties, an important feature of pluripotent stem cells (By similarity). {ECO:0000250|UniProtKB:P83940, ECO:0000269|PubMed:7821821}. |Skp1 POZ| |elongin complex| |positive regulation of transcription elongation from RNA polymerase II promoter| |regulation of transcription elongation from RNA polymerase II promoter| |positive regulation of DNA-templated transcription, elongation| |regulation of DNA-templated transcription, elongation| |transcription elongation from RNA polymerase II promoter| |regulation of transcription from RNA polymerase II promoter in response to hypoxia| |DNA-templated transcription, elongation| |regulation of transcription from RNA polymerase II promoter in response to stress| |regulation of DNA-templated transcription in response to stress| |cellular response to hypoxia| |cellular response to decreased oxygen levels| |cellular response to oxygen levels| |ubiquitin-protein transferase activity| |response to hypoxia| |response to decreased oxygen levels| |post-translational protein modification| |response to oxygen levels| |transcription by RNA polymerase II| |ubiquitin-dependent protein catabolic process| |modification-dependent protein catabolic process| |modification-dependent macromolecule catabolic process| |proteolysis involved in cellular protein catabolic process| |cellular protein catabolic process| |transcription, DNA-templated| |nucleic acid-templated transcription| |RNA biosynthetic process| |protein catabolic process| |protein ubiquitination| |viral process| |protein modification by small protein conjugation| |symbiotic process| |interspecies interaction between organisms| |cellular macromolecule catabolic process| |protein modification by small protein conjugation or removal| |macromolecule catabolic process| |organonitrogen compound catabolic process| |nucleobase-containing compound biosynthetic process| |response to abiotic stimulus| |heterocycle biosynthetic process| |aromatic compound biosynthetic process| |positive regulation of transcription by RNA polymerase II| |proteolysis| |organic cyclic compound biosynthetic process| |positive regulation of transcription, DNA-templated| |cellular nitrogen compound biosynthetic process| |positive regulation of nucleic acid-templated transcription| |positive regulation of RNA biosynthetic process| |RNA metabolic process| |cellular response to stress| |cellular macromolecule biosynthetic process| |positive regulation of RNA metabolic process| |macromolecule biosynthetic process| |organic substance catabolic process| |cellular catabolic process| |positive regulation of nucleobase-containing compound metabolic process| |positive regulation of macromolecule biosynthetic process| |positive regulation of cellular biosynthetic process| |positive regulation of gene expression| |gene expression| |positive regulation of biosynthetic process| \\ === CRISPR Data === ^Screen^Score^ |FTY720 3μM R08 exp483|1.83| |YM155 0.001μM R08 exp432|1.86| |THZ531 0.11μM R07 exp409|2.06| No correlation found to any other genes in chemogenomics.
