The core of this pathway is composed of a kinase cascade wherein MST1/MST2, in complex with its regulatory protein SAV1, phosphorylates and activates LATS1/2 in complex with its regulatory protein MOB1, which in turn phosphorylates and inactivates YAP1 oncoprotein and WWTR1/TAZ. Acts by mediating gene expression of YAP1 and WWTR1/TAZ, thereby regulating cell proliferation, migration and epithelial mesenchymal transition (EMT) induction. Binds to multiple functional elements of the human chorionic somatomammotropin-B gene enhancer. {ECO:0000269|PubMed:18579750, ECO:0000269|PubMed:19324877}. |TEA| |asymmetric neuroblast division| |asymmetric stem cell division| |neuroblast division| |neuronal stem cell division| |asymmetric cell division| |somatic stem cell division| |hippo signaling| |neuroblast proliferation| |stem cell division| |stem cell proliferation| |RNA polymerase II transcription factor binding| |neural precursor cell proliferation| |transcription initiation from RNA polymerase II promoter| |female pregnancy| |transcription factor complex| |multi-multicellular organism process| |DNA-templated transcription, initiation| |transcription regulatory region DNA binding| |cell fate commitment| |sequence-specific DNA binding| |transcription by RNA polymerase II| |cell division| |cell population proliferation| |transcription, DNA-templated| |nucleic acid-templated transcription| |RNA biosynthetic process| |DNA-binding transcription factor activity| |multi-organism reproductive process| |nucleobase-containing compound biosynthetic process| |heterocycle biosynthetic process| |aromatic compound biosynthetic process| |positive regulation of transcription by RNA polymerase II| |organic cyclic compound biosynthetic process| |reproductive process| |reproduction| |generation of neurons| |positive regulation of transcription, DNA-templated| |DNA-binding transcription factor activity, RNA polymerase II-specific| |neurogenesis| |cellular nitrogen compound biosynthetic process| |positive regulation of nucleic acid-templated transcription| |positive regulation of RNA biosynthetic process| |RNA metabolic process| |intracellular signal transduction| |cellular macromolecule biosynthetic process| |positive regulation of RNA metabolic process| |macromolecule biosynthetic process| |positive regulation of nucleobase-containing compound metabolic process| |positive regulation of macromolecule biosynthetic process| |positive regulation of cellular biosynthetic process| |positive regulation of gene expression| |gene expression| |positive regulation of biosynthetic process| \\ === CRISPR Data === No hits were found. ^Gene^Correlation^ |[[:human genes:r:rrm1|RRM1]]|0.424| Global Fraction of Cell Lines Where Essential: 7/739 ^Tissue^Fraction Of Cell Lines Where Essential^ |1290807.0|0/1| |909776.0|0/1| |bile duct|1/28| |blood|0/28| |bone|0/26| |breast|0/33| |central nervous system|0/56| |cervix|0/4| |colorectal|0/17| |esophagus|0/13| |fibroblast|0/1| |gastric|0/16| |kidney|0/21| |liver|0/20| |lung|1/75| |lymphocyte|0/16| |ovary|0/26| |pancreas|0/24| |peripheral nervous system|0/16| |plasma cell|0/15| |prostate|0/1| |skin|0/24| |soft tissue|1/9| |thyroid|0/2| |upper aerodigestive|1/22| |urinary tract|2/29| |uterus|0/5| == Essentiality in NALM6 == * **Essentiality Rank**: 2989 * **Expression level (log2 read counts)**: 0.91 {{:chemogenomics:nalm6 dist.png?nolink |}}
