This protein associates with the cytoplasmic domain of type I and type II cytokine receptors and promulgate cytokine signals by phosphorylating receptor subunits. It is also component of both the type I and type III interferon signaling pathways. As such, it may play a role in anti-viral immunity. A mutation in this gene has been associated with hyperimmunoglobulin E syndrome (HIES) - a primary immunodeficiency characterized by elevated serum immunoglobulin E. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]. * **UniProt Summary**: Probably involved in intracellular signal transduction by being involved in the initiation of type I IFN signaling. Phosphorylates the interferon-alpha/beta receptor alpha chain. {ECO:0000269|PubMed:7526154}. |Pkinase| |Pkinase Tyr| |type 1 angiotensin receptor binding| |interleukin-23-mediated signaling pathway| |growth hormone receptor binding| |interleukin-27-mediated signaling pathway| |non-membrane spanning protein tyrosine kinase activity| |interleukin-12-mediated signaling pathway| |cellular response to interleukin-12| |response to interleukin-12| |type I interferon signaling pathway| |cellular response to type I interferon| |response to type I interferon| |protein tyrosine kinase activity| |peptidyl-tyrosine phosphorylation| |peptidyl-tyrosine modification| |cytoskeleton| |cytokine-mediated signaling pathway| |innate immune response| |peptidyl-amino acid modification| |defense response to other organism| |protein phosphorylation| |cellular response to cytokine stimulus| |response to cytokine| |phosphorylation| |response to other organism| |response to external biotic stimulus| |response to biotic stimulus| |defense response| |ATP binding| |intracellular signal transduction| |immune response| |membrane| \\ === CRISPR Data === ^Screen^Score^ |[[:results:exp464|Calcipotriol 5μM R08 exp464]]|1.78| No correlation found to any other genes in chemogenomics.
