The kinase is part of the tight junction complex in kidney cells, and regulates the balance between NaCl reabsorption and K(+) secretion. The kinase regulates the activities of several types of ion channels, cotransporters, and exchangers involved in electrolyte flux in epithelial cells. Mutations in this gene result in pseudohypoaldosteronism type IIB.[provided by RefSeq, Sep 2009]. * **UniProt Summary**: N/A |Pkinase Tyr| |Pkinase| |OSR1 C| |distal tubule morphogenesis| |renal sodium ion absorption| |negative regulation of pancreatic juice secretion| |renal sodium ion transport| |regulation of pancreatic juice secretion| |positive regulation of potassium ion import across plasma membrane| |regulation of potassium ion import| |potassium channel inhibitor activity| |chloride channel inhibitor activity| |distal tubule development| |renal absorption| |positive regulation of sodium ion transmembrane transporter activity| |negative regulation of sodium ion transport| |negative regulation of digestive system process| |positive regulation of sodium ion transmembrane transport| |positive regulation of sodium ion transport| |positive regulation of potassium ion transmembrane transport| |regulation of digestive system process| |positive regulation of potassium ion transport| |regulation of sodium ion transmembrane transporter activity| |regulation of sodium ion transmembrane transport| |nephron tubule morphogenesis| |nephron epithelium morphogenesis| |nephron morphogenesis| |renal tubule morphogenesis| |nephron tubule development| |regulation of potassium ion transmembrane transport| |renal tubule development| |kidney morphogenesis| |regulation of sodium ion transport| |regulation of potassium ion transport| |nephron epithelium development| |chloride transport| |positive regulation of ion transmembrane transporter activity| |renal system process| |positive regulation of transporter activity| |bicellular tight junction| |nephron development| |kidney epithelium development| |positive regulation of cation transmembrane transport| |negative regulation of ion transport| |sodium ion transport| |positive regulation of ion transmembrane transport| |inorganic anion transport| |positive regulation of transmembrane transport| |negative regulation of secretion| |regulation of ion transmembrane transporter activity| |regulation of transmembrane transporter activity| |kidney development| |positive regulation of ion transport| |regulation of transporter activity| |renal system development| |epithelial tube morphogenesis| |urogenital system development| |regulation of cation transmembrane transport| |protein serine/threonine kinase activity| |regulation of metal ion transport| |monovalent inorganic cation transport| |morphogenesis of an epithelium| |regulation of ion transmembrane transport| |negative regulation of transport| |regulation of body fluid levels| |regulation of transmembrane transport| |tissue morphogenesis| |anion transport| |regulation of system process| |metal ion transport| |tube morphogenesis| |regulation of ion transport| |ion homeostasis| |regulation of secretion| |cation transport| |tube development| |animal organ morphogenesis| |protein phosphorylation| |positive regulation of transport| |chemical homeostasis| |epithelium development| |negative regulation of multicellular organismal process| |phosphorylation| |ion transport| |ATP binding| |homeostatic process| |intracellular signal transduction| |tissue development| |positive regulation of molecular function| |regulation of transport| |system process| |membrane| \\ === CRISPR Data === ^Screen^Score^ |Chlorpromazine 10μM R07 exp344|-1.77| |S-DABN 8μM R03 exp112|-1.74| |NFN1 0.4μM R03 exp99|-1.72| No correlation found to any other genes in chemogenomics.
