The function of the encoded protein has yet to be elucidated, although it may have channel-forming abilities and also may have phospholipid scramblase activity. This gene has been observed to be upregulated in stage II and III colorectal cancers. [provided by RefSeq, Dec 2016]. * **<color #00a2e8>UniProt Summary</color>**: Has calcium-dependent phospholipid scramblase activity; scrambles phosphatidylserine, phosphatidylcholine and galactosylceramide (By similarity). Does not exhibit calcium- activated chloride channel (CaCC) activity. Can inhibit the activity of ANO1. {ECO:0000250|UniProtKB:P86044, ECO:0000269|PubMed:20056604, ECO:0000269|PubMed:22946059}. <button type='primary' size='sm' modal='Pfam_Domains'>Pfam Domains</button> <button type='primary' size='sm' modal='GO_terms'>GO Terms</button> <modal id='Pfam_Domains' size='lg' title='Pfam Domains'> |Anoctamin| </modal> <modal id='GO_terms' size='lg' title='GO Terms'> |negative regulation of intracellular calcium activated chloride channel activity| |negative regulation of inorganic anion transmembrane transport| |negative regulation of chloride transport| |regulation of intracellular calcium activated chloride channel activity| |calcium activated phosphatidylserine scrambling| |negative regulation of anion channel activity| |calcium activated phospholipid scrambling| |calcium activated phosphatidylcholine scrambling| |calcium activated galactosylceramide scrambling| |regulation of inorganic anion transmembrane transport| |regulation of chloride transport| |regulation of anion channel activity| |phospholipid scramblase activity| |negative regulation of anion transmembrane transport| |intracellular calcium activated chloride channel activity| |plasma membrane phospholipid scrambling| |regulation of anion transmembrane transport| |negative regulation of anion transport| |phospholipid translocation| |lipid translocation| |regulation of membrane lipid distribution| |negative regulation of ion transmembrane transporter activity| |negative regulation of transporter activity| |phospholipid transport| |plasma membrane organization| |regulation of anion transport| |negative regulation of ion transmembrane transport| |chloride transport| |negative regulation of transmembrane transport| |organophosphate ester transport| |negative regulation of ion transport| |inorganic anion transport| |regulation of ion transmembrane transporter activity| |regulation of transmembrane transporter activity| |regulation of transporter activity| |lipid transport| |lipid localization| |endomembrane system organization| |organic anion transport| |regulation of ion transmembrane transport| |negative regulation of transport| |regulation of transmembrane transport| |anion transport| |regulation of ion transport| |membrane organization| |ion transmembrane transport| |negative regulation of molecular function| |transmembrane transport| |ion transport| |regulation of transport| </modal> \\ === CRISPR Data === <button type='default' size='small' modal='Compound_Hit'>Compound Hit</button> <button type='default' size='small' modal='Most_Correlated_Genes'>Most Correlated Genes in Chemogenomics</button> <button type='primary' size='small' modal='Essential_Avana'>Tissues where Essential in the Avana Dataset (DepMap 20Q1)</button> <modal id='Compound_Hit' size='lg' title='Compound Hit'> No hits were found. </modal> <modal id='Most_Correlated_Genes' size='lg' title='Most Correlated Genes in Chemogenomics'> No correlation found to any other genes in chemogenomics. </modal> <modal id='Essential_Avana' size='lg' title='Tissues where Essential in the Avana Dataset (DepMap 20Q1)'> Global Fraction of Cell Lines Where Essential: 0/739 ^Tissue^Fraction Of Cell Lines Where Essential^ |1290807.0|0/1| |909776.0|0/1| |bile duct|0/28| |blood|0/28| |bone|0/26| |breast|0/33| |central nervous system|0/56| |cervix|0/4| |colorectal|0/17| |esophagus|0/13| |fibroblast|0/1| |gastric|0/16| |kidney|0/21| |liver|0/20| |lung|0/75| |lymphocyte|0/16| |ovary|0/26| |pancreas|0/24| |peripheral nervous system|0/16| |plasma cell|0/15| |prostate|0/1| |skin|0/24| |soft tissue|0/9| |thyroid|0/2| |upper aerodigestive|0/22| |urinary tract|0/29| |uterus|0/5| </modal> == Essentiality in NALM6 == * **<color #00a2e8>Essentiality Rank</color>**: 6750 * **<color #00a2e8>Expression level (log2 read counts)</color>**: -1.79 <button type='primary' size='small' modal='Dist_expr'>Expression Distribution</button> <modal id='Dist_expr' size='lg' title='ANO9 Expression in NALM6 Cells: -1.79'> {{:chemogenomics:nalm6 dist.png?nolink |}} </modal> Last modified: 2025/12/10 20:19by 127.0.0.1
