However, this gene has undergone a change in function in placental mammals compared to other species. Specifically, in fish, avian, and amphibian species, this gene encodes plasma membrane-bound beta-subunits of Na,K-ATPase. In placental mammals, the encoded protein interacts with the nuclear transcriptional coregulator SKIP and may be involved in the regulation of TGF-beta signaling. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Mar 2010]. * **<color #00a2e8>UniProt Summary</color>**: May act as a transcriptional coregulator during muscle development through its interaction with SNW1. Has lost its ancestral function as a Na,K-ATPase beta-subunit. {ECO:0000269|PubMed:17592128}. <button type='primary' size='sm' modal='Pfam_Domains'>Pfam Domains</button> <button type='primary' size='sm' modal='GO_terms'>GO Terms</button> <modal id='Pfam_Domains' size='lg' title='Pfam Domains'> |Na K-ATPase| </modal> <modal id='GO_terms' size='lg' title='GO Terms'> |monovalent inorganic cation transmembrane transporter activity| |sodium:potassium-exchanging ATPase complex| |nuclear inner membrane| |nuclear envelope| |monovalent inorganic cation transport| |cation transport| |positive regulation of transcription by RNA polymerase II| |ion transport| |integral component of plasma membrane| |positive regulation of transcription, DNA-templated| |positive regulation of nucleic acid-templated transcription| |positive regulation of RNA biosynthetic process| |positive regulation of RNA metabolic process| |positive regulation of nucleobase-containing compound metabolic process| |positive regulation of macromolecule biosynthetic process| |positive regulation of cellular biosynthetic process| |positive regulation of gene expression| |positive regulation of biosynthetic process| </modal> \\ === CRISPR Data === <button type='primary' size='small' modal='Compound_Hit'>Compound Hit</button> <button type='primary' size='small' modal='Most_Correlated_Genes'>Most Correlated Genes in Chemogenomics</button> <button type='primary' size='small' modal='Essential_Avana'>Tissues where Essential in the Avana Dataset (DepMap 20Q1)</button> <modal id='Compound_Hit' size='lg' title='Compound Hit'> ^Screen^Score^ |Lead acetate 2000μM R08 exp498 no dilution day6|-2.53| |2-Deoxy-D-glucose 800μM R05 exp214|-2.3| |Vemurafenib 6.6μM R02 exp89|-1.9| |S-DABN 8μM R03 exp112|-1.81| |SNS-032 15μM R08 exp443|-1.8| |Vinorelbine 0.001μM R05 exp249|-1.75| |Lead acetate 2000μM R08 exp497|-1.71| |Amiloride 100μM R08 exp447|1.92| |CB-5083 0.4μM R08 exp468|2.04| |Phenformin 20μM R05 exp212|2.17| </modal> <modal id='Most_Correlated_Genes' size='lg' title='Most Correlated Genes in Chemogenomics'> ^Gene^Correlation^ |HGC6.3|0.526| </modal> <modal id='Essential_Avana' size='lg' title='Tissues where Essential in the Avana Dataset (DepMap 20Q1)'> Global Fraction of Cell Lines Where Essential: 0/694 ^Tissue^Fraction Of Cell Lines Where Essential^ |1290807.0|0/1| |909776.0|0/1| |bile duct|0/28| |blood|0/26| |bone|0/26| |breast|0/30| |central nervous system|0/49| |cervix|0/4| |colorectal|0/17| |esophagus|0/11| |fibroblast|0/1| |gastric|0/14| |kidney|0/18| |liver|0/19| |lung|0/72| |lymphocyte|0/16| |ovary|0/25| |pancreas|0/22| |peripheral nervous system|0/15| |plasma cell|0/12| |prostate|0/1| |skin|0/20| |soft tissue|0/9| |thyroid|0/2| |upper aerodigestive|0/22| |urinary tract|0/28| |uterus|0/5| </modal> == Essentiality in NALM6 == * **<color #00a2e8>Essentiality Rank</color>**: 12583 * **<color #00a2e8>Expression level (log2 read counts)</color>**: 2.46 <button type='primary' size='small' modal='Dist_expr'>Expression Distribution</button> <modal id='Dist_expr' size='lg' title='ATP1B4 Expression in NALM6 Cells: 2.46'> </modal> Last modified: 2025/12/10 20:19by 127.0.0.1
