MVBs contain intraluminal vesicles (ILVs) that are generated by invagination and scission from the limiting membrane of the endosome and mostly are delivered to lysosomes enabling degradation of membrane proteins, such as stimulated growth factor receptors, lysosomal enzymes and lipids. The MVB pathway appears to require the sequential function of ESCRT-O, -I,-II and -III complexes. ESCRT- III proteins mostly dissociate from the invaginating membrane before the ILV is released. The ESCRT machinery also functions in topologically equivalent membrane fission events, such as the terminal stages of cytokinesis and the budding of enveloped viruses (HIV-1 and other lentiviruses). ESCRT-III proteins are believed to mediate the necessary vesicle extrusion and/or membrane fission activities, possibly in conjunction with the AAA ATPase VPS4. Involved in cytokinesis. Involved in recruiting VPS4A and/or VPS4B and SPAST to the midbody of dividing cells. Involved in HIV-1 p6- and p9-dependent virus release. {ECO:0000269|PubMed:14519844, ECO:0000269|PubMed:19129479}. <button type='primary' size='sm' modal='Pfam_Domains'>Pfam Domains</button> <button type='primary' size='sm' modal='GO_terms'>GO Terms</button> <modal id='Pfam_Domains' size='lg' title='Pfam Domains'> |Snf7| </modal> <modal id='GO_terms' size='lg' title='GO Terms'> |membrane coat| |ESCRT III complex| |ESCRT III complex disassembly| |ESCRT complex disassembly| |midbody abscission| |late endosome to vacuole transport| |viral budding via host ESCRT complex| |mitotic cytokinetic process| |regulation of mitotic spindle assembly| |viral budding| |endosome transport via multivesicular body sorting pathway| |regulation of spindle assembly| |multivesicular body assembly| |multivesicular body organization| |multivesicular body| |multivesicular body sorting pathway| |cytokinetic process| |virion assembly| |regulation of mitotic spindle organization| |regulation of centrosome duplication| |regulation of spindle organization| |mitotic metaphase plate congression| |metaphase plate congression| |regulation of centrosome cycle| |mitotic cytokinesis| |establishment of chromosome localization| |chromosome localization| |endosome organization| |cytoskeleton-dependent cytokinesis| |cytokinesis| |mitotic sister chromatid segregation| |late endosome membrane| |nucleus organization| |sister chromatid segregation| |vacuolar transport| |mitotic nuclear division| |midbody| |regulation of mitotic nuclear division| |regulation of microtubule cytoskeleton organization| |regulation of nuclear division| |viral life cycle| |endosome membrane| |nuclear chromosome segregation| |regulation of organelle assembly| |regulation of microtubule-based process| |endosomal transport| |protein-containing complex disassembly| |protein domain specific binding| |chromosome segregation| |nuclear division| |vesicle organization| |organelle fission| |establishment of organelle localization| |cellular component disassembly| |endomembrane system organization| |cell division| |regulation of cytoskeleton organization| |organelle localization| |mitotic cell cycle process| |regulation of mitotic cell cycle| |mitotic cell cycle| |viral process| |regulation of cell cycle process| |organelle assembly| |symbiotic process| |interspecies interaction between organisms| |membrane organization| |regulation of cellular component biogenesis| |cell cycle process| |chromosome organization| |identical protein binding| |regulation of cell cycle| |regulation of organelle organization| |cell cycle| |protein transport| |intracellular transport| |peptide transport| |amide transport| |establishment of protein localization| |establishment of localization in cell| |nitrogen compound transport| |protein-containing complex subunit organization| |vesicle-mediated transport| </modal> \\ === CRISPR Data === <button type='default' size='small' modal='Compound_Hit'>Compound Hit</button> <button type='default' size='small' modal='Most_Correlated_Genes'>Most Correlated Genes in Chemogenomics</button> <button type='primary' size='small' modal='Essential_Avana'>Tissues where Essential in the Avana Dataset (DepMap 20Q1)</button> <modal id='Compound_Hit' size='lg' title='Compound Hit'> No hits were found. </modal> <modal id='Most_Correlated_Genes' size='lg' title='Most Correlated Genes in Chemogenomics'> No correlation found to any other genes in chemogenomics. </modal> <modal id='Essential_Avana' size='lg' title='Tissues where Essential in the Avana Dataset (DepMap 20Q1)'> Global Fraction of Cell Lines Where Essential: 1/739 ^Tissue^Fraction Of Cell Lines Where Essential^ |1290807.0|0/1| |909776.0|0/1| |bile duct|0/28| |blood|0/28| |bone|0/26| |breast|0/33| |central nervous system|0/56| |cervix|0/4| |colorectal|0/17| |esophagus|0/13| |fibroblast|0/1| |gastric|0/16| |kidney|0/21| |liver|0/20| |lung|0/75| |lymphocyte|0/16| |ovary|0/26| |pancreas|0/24| |peripheral nervous system|0/16| |plasma cell|0/15| |prostate|0/1| |skin|0/24| |soft tissue|0/9| |thyroid|0/2| |upper aerodigestive|1/22| |urinary tract|0/29| |uterus|0/5| </modal> == Essentiality in NALM6 == * **<color #00a2e8>Essentiality Rank</color>**: 13585 * **<color #00a2e8>Expression level (log2 read counts)</color>**: 5.21 <button type='primary' size='small' modal='Dist_expr'>Expression Distribution</button> <modal id='Dist_expr' size='lg' title='CHMP1B Expression in NALM6 Cells: 5.21'> {{:chemogenomics:nalm6 dist.png?nolink |}} </modal> Last modified: 2025/12/10 20:19by 127.0.0.1
