Certain mutations in this gene are associated with the inflammatory arthritis syndrome ankylosing spondylitis and pre-eclampsia. This gene is located adjacent to a closely related aminopeptidase gene on chromosome 5. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2016]. * **<color #00a2e8>UniProt Summary</color>**: Aminopeptidase that plays a central role in peptide trimming, a step required for the generation of most HLA class I- binding peptides. Peptide trimming is essential to customize longer precursor peptides to fit them to the correct length required for presentation on MHC class I molecules. Preferentially hydrolyzes the basic residues Arg and Lys. {ECO:0000269|PubMed:12799365, ECO:0000269|PubMed:15908954, ECO:0000269|PubMed:16286653}. <button type='primary' size='sm' modal='Pfam_Domains'>Pfam Domains</button> <button type='primary' size='sm' modal='GO_terms'>GO Terms</button> <modal id='Pfam_Domains' size='lg' title='Pfam Domains'> |Peptidase M1| </modal> <modal id='GO_terms' size='lg' title='GO Terms'> |antigen processing and presentation of endogenous peptide antigen| |antigen processing and presentation of endogenous peptide antigen via MHC class I| |antigen processing and presentation of endogenous antigen| |metalloaminopeptidase activity| |aminopeptidase activity| |peptide catabolic process| |peptide binding| |metallopeptidase activity| |antigen processing and presentation of peptide antigen via MHC class I| |regulation of blood pressure| |antigen processing and presentation of peptide antigen| |antigen processing and presentation| |endoplasmic reticulum lumen| |blood circulation| |circulatory system process| |peptide metabolic process| |adaptive immune response| |cellular amide metabolic process| |zinc ion binding| |endoplasmic reticulum membrane| |organonitrogen compound catabolic process| |proteolysis| |organic substance catabolic process| |cellular catabolic process| |immune response| |system process| </modal> \\ === CRISPR Data === <button type='primary' size='small' modal='Compound_Hit'>Compound Hit</button> <button type='default' size='small' modal='Most_Correlated_Genes'>Most Correlated Genes in Chemogenomics</button> <button type='primary' size='small' modal='Essential_Avana'>Tissues where Essential in the Avana Dataset (DepMap 20Q1)</button> <modal id='Compound_Hit' size='lg' title='Compound Hit'> ^Screen^Score^ |Lead acetate 2000μM R08 exp498 no dilution day6|-1.95| |BI-D1870 3.15μM R02 exp66|-1.94| |ML-792 0.2μM R08 exp505|-1.87| |Dinaciclib 0.007μM R07 exp355|1.95| </modal> <modal id='Most_Correlated_Genes' size='lg' title='Most Correlated Genes in Chemogenomics'> No correlation found to any other genes in chemogenomics. </modal> <modal id='Essential_Avana' size='lg' title='Tissues where Essential in the Avana Dataset (DepMap 20Q1)'> Global Fraction of Cell Lines Where Essential: 0/739 ^Tissue^Fraction Of Cell Lines Where Essential^ |1290807.0|0/1| |909776.0|0/1| |bile duct|0/28| |blood|0/28| |bone|0/26| |breast|0/33| |central nervous system|0/56| |cervix|0/4| |colorectal|0/17| |esophagus|0/13| |fibroblast|0/1| |gastric|0/16| |kidney|0/21| |liver|0/20| |lung|0/75| |lymphocyte|0/16| |ovary|0/26| |pancreas|0/24| |peripheral nervous system|0/16| |plasma cell|0/15| |prostate|0/1| |skin|0/24| |soft tissue|0/9| |thyroid|0/2| |upper aerodigestive|0/22| |urinary tract|0/29| |uterus|0/5| </modal> == Essentiality in NALM6 == * **<color #00a2e8>Essentiality Rank</color>**: 13812 * **<color #00a2e8>Expression level (log2 read counts)</color>**: 7.61 <button type='primary' size='small' modal='Dist_expr'>Expression Distribution</button> <modal id='Dist_expr' size='lg' title='ERAP2 Expression in NALM6 Cells: 7.61'> </modal> Last modified: 2025/12/10 20:19by 127.0.0.1
