This protein may also serve as a dual-function factor to couple transcription and splicing and to facilitate their reciprocal activation. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been found for this gene.[provided by RefSeq, Sep 2009]. * **<color #00a2e8>UniProt Summary</color>**: Functions as a general transcription factor playing a role in the process of transcriptional elongation. May mediate the reciprocal stimulatory effect of splicing on transcriptional elongation. In case of infection by HIV-1, it is up-regulated by the HIV-1 proteins NEF and gp120, acts as a cofactor required for the Tat-enhanced transcription of the virus. {ECO:0000269|PubMed:10393184, ECO:0000269|PubMed:10454543, ECO:0000269|PubMed:10913173, ECO:0000269|PubMed:11420046, ECO:0000269|PubMed:11780068, ECO:0000269|PubMed:15905670, ECO:0000269|PubMed:8849451, ECO:0000269|PubMed:9765201}. <button type='primary' size='sm' modal='Pfam_Domains'>Pfam Domains</button> <button type='primary' size='sm' modal='GO_terms'>GO Terms</button> <modal id='Pfam_Domains' size='lg' title='Pfam Domains'> |RRM 1| </modal> <modal id='GO_terms' size='lg' title='GO Terms'> |U2-type spliceosomal complex| |U2 snRNP| |viral genome replication| |regulation of DNA-templated transcription, elongation| |viral life cycle| |RNA splicing, via transesterification reactions with bulged adenosine as nucleophile| |mRNA splicing, via spliceosome| |RNA splicing, via transesterification reactions| |RNA splicing| |mRNA processing| |mRNA metabolic process| |viral process| |symbiotic process| |interspecies interaction between organisms| |RNA processing| |RNA binding| |RNA metabolic process| |gene expression| </modal> \\ === CRISPR Data === <button type='primary' size='small' modal='Compound_Hit'>Compound Hit</button> <button type='primary' size='small' modal='Most_Correlated_Genes'>Most Correlated Genes in Chemogenomics</button> <button type='primary' size='small' modal='Essential_Avana'>Tissues where Essential in the Avana Dataset (DepMap 20Q1)</button> <modal id='Compound_Hit' size='lg' title='Compound Hit'> ^Screen^Score^ |42°C R08 exp539|-2.34| |Deferoxamine 11μM R07 exp350|-1.99| |TIC10 10μM R08 exp532|-1.99| |ONC212 0.15μM R08 exp513|-1.97| |QNZ 0.01μM R08 exp439|-1.75| |PFI-3 10μM R03 exp144|1.84| </modal> <modal id='Most_Correlated_Genes' size='lg' title='Most Correlated Genes in Chemogenomics'> ^Gene^Correlation^ |TERF1|0.449| |TFIP11|0.436| |ATP6V1C1|0.432| |SF3A2|0.431| |TBC1D3G|0.42| |TBC1D3C|0.404| |PSMA6|0.404| |TCEB3CL2|0.403| |KCTD17|0.403| </modal> <modal id='Essential_Avana' size='lg' title='Tissues where Essential in the Avana Dataset (DepMap 20Q1)'> Global Fraction of Cell Lines Where Essential: 515/694 ^Tissue^Fraction Of Cell Lines Where Essential^ |1290807.0|1/1| |909776.0|1/1| |bile duct|17/28| |blood|22/26| |bone|23/26| |breast|19/30| |central nervous system|32/49| |cervix|4/4| |colorectal|12/17| |esophagus|7/11| |fibroblast|1/1| |gastric|8/14| |kidney|12/18| |liver|13/19| |lung|52/72| |lymphocyte|14/16| |ovary|19/25| |pancreas|18/22| |peripheral nervous system|13/15| |plasma cell|10/12| |prostate|1/1| |skin|18/20| |soft tissue|9/9| |thyroid|1/2| |upper aerodigestive|16/22| |urinary tract|17/28| |uterus|4/5| </modal> == Essentiality in NALM6 == * **<color #00a2e8>Essentiality Rank</color>**: 459 * **<color #00a2e8>Expression level (log2 read counts)</color>**: 6.51 <button type='primary' size='small' modal='Dist_expr'>Expression Distribution</button> <modal id='Dist_expr' size='lg' title='HTATSF1 Expression in NALM6 Cells: 6.51'> </modal> Last modified: 2025/12/10 20:19by 127.0.0.1
