It is the only enzyme known to hydrolzye inositol pentakisphosphate and inositol hexakisphosphate. This enzyme also converts 2,3 bisphosphoglycerate (2,3-BPG) to 2-phosphoglycerate; an activity formerly thought to be exclusive to 2,3-BPG synthase/2-phosphatase (BPGM) in the Rapoport-Luebering shunt of the glycolytic pathway.[provided by RefSeq, Sep 2009]. * **<color #00a2e8>UniProt Summary</color>**: Acts as a phosphoinositide 5- and phosphoinositide 6- phosphatase and regulates cellular levels of inositol pentakisphosphate (InsP5) and inositol hexakisphosphate (InsP6). Also acts as a 2,3-bisphosphoglycerate 3-phosphatase, by mediating the dephosphorylation of 2,3-bisphosphoglycerate (2,3-BPG) to produce phospho-D-glycerate without formation of 3- phosphoglycerate. May play a role in bone development (endochondral ossification). May play a role in the transition of chondrocytes from proliferation to hypertrophy (By similarity). {ECO:0000250|UniProtKB:F1NPQ2, ECO:0000269|PubMed:18413611}. <button type='primary' size='sm' modal='Pfam_Domains'>Pfam Domains</button> <button type='primary' size='sm' modal='GO_terms'>GO Terms</button> <modal id='Pfam_Domains' size='lg' title='Pfam Domains'> |His Phos 2| </modal> <modal id='GO_terms' size='lg' title='GO Terms'> |inositol-1,3,4,5,6-pentakisphosphate 3-phosphatase activity| |bisphosphoglycerate 3-phosphatase activity| |inositol hexakisphosphate 2-phosphatase activity| |inositol phosphate phosphatase activity| |inositol-1,3,4,5-tetrakisphosphate 3-phosphatase activity| |protein histidine phosphatase activity| |polyphosphate metabolic process| |acid phosphatase activity| |bone mineralization| |inositol phosphate metabolic process| |biomineral tissue development| |biomineralization| |polyol metabolic process| |protein dephosphorylation| |ossification| |endoplasmic reticulum lumen| |dephosphorylation| |alcohol metabolic process| |organic hydroxy compound metabolic process| |organophosphate metabolic process| |oxoacid metabolic process| |endoplasmic reticulum| |organic acid metabolic process| |small molecule metabolic process| |tissue development| </modal> \\ === CRISPR Data === <button type='primary' size='small' modal='Compound_Hit'>Compound Hit</button> <button type='primary' size='small' modal='Most_Correlated_Genes'>Most Correlated Genes in Chemogenomics</button> <button type='primary' size='small' modal='Essential_Avana'>Tissues where Essential in the Avana Dataset (DepMap 20Q1)</button> <modal id='Compound_Hit' size='lg' title='Compound Hit'> ^Screen^Score^ |[[:results:exp185|L-BMAA 500 to 750μM on day4 R04 exp185]]|1.98| </modal> <modal id='Most_Correlated_Genes' size='lg' title='Most Correlated Genes in Chemogenomics'> ^Gene^Correlation^ |[[:human genes:r:rrm1|RRM1]]|0.437| </modal> <modal id='Essential_Avana' size='lg' title='Tissues where Essential in the Avana Dataset (DepMap 20Q1)'> Global Fraction of Cell Lines Where Essential: 0/739 ^Tissue^Fraction Of Cell Lines Where Essential^ |1290807.0|0/1| |909776.0|0/1| |bile duct|0/28| |blood|0/28| |bone|0/26| |breast|0/33| |central nervous system|0/56| |cervix|0/4| |colorectal|0/17| |esophagus|0/13| |fibroblast|0/1| |gastric|0/16| |kidney|0/21| |liver|0/20| |lung|0/75| |lymphocyte|0/16| |ovary|0/26| |pancreas|0/24| |peripheral nervous system|0/16| |plasma cell|0/15| |prostate|0/1| |skin|0/24| |soft tissue|0/9| |thyroid|0/2| |upper aerodigestive|0/22| |urinary tract|0/29| |uterus|0/5| </modal> == Essentiality in NALM6 == * **<color #00a2e8>Essentiality Rank</color>**: 2994 * **<color #00a2e8>Expression level (log2 read counts)</color>**: 3.05 <button type='primary' size='small' modal='Dist_expr'>Expression Distribution</button> <modal id='Dist_expr' size='lg' title='MINPP1 Expression in NALM6 Cells: 3.05'> {{:chemogenomics:nalm6 dist.png?nolink |}} </modal> Last modified: 2025/12/10 20:19by 127.0.0.1
