MAGUKs interact with the cytoskeleton and regulate cell proliferation, signaling pathways, and intercellular junctions. The encoded protein is an extensively palmitoylated membrane phosphoprotein containing a PDZ domain, a Src homology 3 (SH3) motif, and a guanylate kinase domain. This gene product interacts with various cytoskeletal proteins and cell junctional proteins in different tissue and cell types, and may be involved in the regulation of cell shape, hair cell development, neural patterning of the retina, and apico-basal polarity and tumor suppression pathways in non-erythroid cells. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Oct 2009]. * **<color #00a2e8>UniProt Summary</color>**: Essential regulator of neutrophil polarity. Regulates neutrophil polarization by regulating AKT1 phosphorylation through a mechanism that is independent of PIK3CG activity (By similarity). {ECO:0000250}. <button type='primary' size='sm' modal='Pfam_Domains'>Pfam Domains</button> <button type='primary' size='sm' modal='GO_terms'>GO Terms</button> <modal id='Pfam_Domains' size='lg' title='Pfam Domains'> |SH3 1| |PDZ| |SH3 2| |Guanylate kin| </modal> <modal id='GO_terms' size='lg' title='GO Terms'> |guanylate kinase activity| |GDP metabolic process| |GMP metabolic process| |cortical cytoskeleton| |regulation of neutrophil chemotaxis| |stereocilium| |regulation of neutrophil migration| |purine ribonucleoside monophosphate metabolic process| |purine nucleoside monophosphate metabolic process| |guanosine-containing compound metabolic process| |regulation of granulocyte chemotaxis| |ribonucleoside monophosphate metabolic process| |purine ribonucleoside metabolic process| |purine ribonucleoside diphosphate metabolic process| |purine nucleoside diphosphate metabolic process| |ribonucleoside diphosphate metabolic process| |purine nucleoside metabolic process| |nucleoside monophosphate metabolic process| |ribonucleoside metabolic process| |nucleoside diphosphate metabolic process| |intracellular| |nucleoside metabolic process| |regulation of leukocyte chemotaxis| |glycosyl compound metabolic process| |regulation of leukocyte migration| |regulation of chemotaxis| |purine ribonucleotide metabolic process| |ribonucleotide metabolic process| |purine nucleotide metabolic process| |ribose phosphate metabolic process| |purine-containing compound metabolic process| |nuclear speck| |nucleotide metabolic process| |nucleoside phosphate metabolic process| |nucleobase-containing small molecule metabolic process| |regulation of cell migration| |organophosphate metabolic process| |regulation of cell motility| |regulation of locomotion| |regulation of cellular component movement| |carbohydrate derivative metabolic process| |regulation of response to external stimulus| |regulation of immune system process| |small molecule metabolic process| |membrane| </modal> \\ === CRISPR Data === <button type='default' size='small' modal='Compound_Hit'>Compound Hit</button> <button type='primary' size='small' modal='Most_Correlated_Genes'>Most Correlated Genes in Chemogenomics</button> <button type='primary' size='small' modal='Essential_Avana'>Tissues where Essential in the Avana Dataset (DepMap 20Q1)</button> <modal id='Compound_Hit' size='lg' title='Compound Hit'> No hits were found. </modal> <modal id='Most_Correlated_Genes' size='lg' title='Most Correlated Genes in Chemogenomics'> ^Gene^Correlation^ |[[:human genes:h:hgc6.3|HGC6.3]]|0.536| </modal> <modal id='Essential_Avana' size='lg' title='Tissues where Essential in the Avana Dataset (DepMap 20Q1)'> Global Fraction of Cell Lines Where Essential: 0/694 ^Tissue^Fraction Of Cell Lines Where Essential^ |1290807.0|0/1| |909776.0|0/1| |bile duct|0/28| |blood|0/26| |bone|0/26| |breast|0/30| |central nervous system|0/49| |cervix|0/4| |colorectal|0/17| |esophagus|0/11| |fibroblast|0/1| |gastric|0/14| |kidney|0/18| |liver|0/19| |lung|0/72| |lymphocyte|0/16| |ovary|0/25| |pancreas|0/22| |peripheral nervous system|0/15| |plasma cell|0/12| |prostate|0/1| |skin|0/20| |soft tissue|0/9| |thyroid|0/2| |upper aerodigestive|0/22| |urinary tract|0/28| |uterus|0/5| </modal> == Essentiality in NALM6 == * **<color #00a2e8>Essentiality Rank</color>**: 6102 * **<color #00a2e8>Expression level (log2 read counts)</color>**: 6.46 <button type='primary' size='small' modal='Dist_expr'>Expression Distribution</button> <modal id='Dist_expr' size='lg' title='MPP1 Expression in NALM6 Cells: 6.46'> {{:chemogenomics:nalm6 dist.png?nolink |}} </modal> Last modified: 2025/12/10 20:19by 127.0.0.1
