Members of this nascent protein family are characterized by common structural features and similar intron/exon splice boundaries and display unique expression patterns among hematopoietic cells and nonlymphoid tissues. This gene encodes a B-lymphocyte surface molecule which plays a role in the development and differentiation of B-cells into plasma cells. This family member is localized to 11q12, among a cluster of family members. Alternative splicing of this gene results in two transcript variants which encode the same protein. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]. * **<color #00a2e8>UniProt Summary</color>**: This protein may be involved in the regulation of B-cell activation and proliferation. <button type='primary' size='sm' modal='Pfam_Domains'>Pfam Domains</button> <button type='primary' size='sm' modal='GO_terms'>GO Terms</button> <modal id='Pfam_Domains' size='lg' title='Pfam Domains'> |CD20| </modal> <modal id='GO_terms' size='lg' title='GO Terms'> |immunoglobulin binding| |store-operated calcium entry| |calcium ion import into cytosol| |MHC class II protein complex binding| |plasma membrane raft| |epidermal growth factor receptor binding| |B cell proliferation| |calcium ion import| |calcium ion transport into cytosol| |lymphocyte proliferation| |mononuclear cell proliferation| |cytosolic calcium ion transport| |leukocyte proliferation| |B cell differentiation| |B cell receptor signaling pathway| |protein tetramerization| |B cell activation| |lymphocyte differentiation| |calcium ion transport| |positive regulation of cytosolic calcium ion concentration| |antigen receptor-mediated signaling pathway| |divalent metal ion transport| |divalent inorganic cation transport| |regulation of cytosolic calcium ion concentration| |leukocyte differentiation| |humoral immune response| |lymphocyte activation| |external side of plasma membrane| |cellular calcium ion homeostasis| |immune response-activating cell surface receptor signaling pathway| |calcium ion homeostasis| |cellular divalent inorganic cation homeostasis| |immune response-regulating cell surface receptor signaling pathway| |divalent inorganic cation homeostasis| |protein complex oligomerization| |cell population proliferation| |cellular metal ion homeostasis| |hemopoiesis| |immune response-activating signal transduction| |immune response-regulating signaling pathway| |hematopoietic or lymphoid organ development| |cell surface| |metal ion homeostasis| |activation of immune response| |cellular cation homeostasis| |metal ion transport| |cellular ion homeostasis| |immune system development| |response to bacterium| |cation homeostasis| |inorganic ion homeostasis| |cellular chemical homeostasis| |ion homeostasis| |cation transport| |positive regulation of immune response| |cellular homeostasis| |leukocyte activation| |cell activation| |chemical homeostasis| |regulation of immune response| |positive regulation of immune system process| |response to other organism| |response to external biotic stimulus| |response to biotic stimulus| |ion transport| |integral component of plasma membrane| |protein-containing complex assembly| |extracellular space| |homeostatic process| |regulation of immune system process| |establishment of localization in cell| |protein-containing complex subunit organization| |immune response| </modal> \\ === CRISPR Data === <button type='default' size='small' modal='Compound_Hit'>Compound Hit</button> <button type='default' size='small' modal='Most_Correlated_Genes'>Most Correlated Genes in Chemogenomics</button> <button type='primary' size='small' modal='Essential_Avana'>Tissues where Essential in the Avana Dataset (DepMap 20Q1)</button> <modal id='Compound_Hit' size='lg' title='Compound Hit'> No hits were found. </modal> <modal id='Most_Correlated_Genes' size='lg' title='Most Correlated Genes in Chemogenomics'> No correlation found to any other genes in chemogenomics. </modal> <modal id='Essential_Avana' size='lg' title='Tissues where Essential in the Avana Dataset (DepMap 20Q1)'> Global Fraction of Cell Lines Where Essential: 0/739 ^Tissue^Fraction Of Cell Lines Where Essential^ |1290807.0|0/1| |909776.0|0/1| |bile duct|0/28| |blood|0/28| |bone|0/26| |breast|0/33| |central nervous system|0/56| |cervix|0/4| |colorectal|0/17| |esophagus|0/13| |fibroblast|0/1| |gastric|0/16| |kidney|0/21| |liver|0/20| |lung|0/75| |lymphocyte|0/16| |ovary|0/26| |pancreas|0/24| |peripheral nervous system|0/16| |plasma cell|0/15| |prostate|0/1| |skin|0/24| |soft tissue|0/9| |thyroid|0/2| |upper aerodigestive|0/22| |urinary tract|0/29| |uterus|0/5| </modal> == Essentiality in NALM6 == * **<color #00a2e8>Essentiality Rank</color>**: 16289 * **<color #00a2e8>Expression level (log2 read counts)</color>**: 2.21 <button type='primary' size='small' modal='Dist_expr'>Expression Distribution</button> <modal id='Dist_expr' size='lg' title='MS4A1 Expression in NALM6 Cells: 2.21'> {{:chemogenomics:nalm6 dist.png?nolink |}} </modal> Last modified: 2025/12/10 20:19by 127.0.0.1
