Specific peripheric component of RNA polymerase III which synthesizes small RNAs, such as 5S rRNA and tRNAs. May direct RNA Pol III binding to the TFIIIB-DNA complex. Plays a key role in sensing and limiting infection by intracellular bacteria and DNA viruses. Acts as nuclear and cytosolic DNA sensor involved in innate immune response. Can sense non-self dsDNA that serves as template for transcription into dsRNA. The non-self RNA polymerase III transcripts, such as Epstein-Barr virus-encoded RNAs (EBERs) induce type I interferon and NF- Kappa-B through the RIG-I pathway. Preferentially binds double-stranded DNA (dsDNA) (PubMed:21358628). {ECO:0000269|PubMed:19609254, ECO:0000269|PubMed:19631370, ECO:0000269|PubMed:21358628}. <button type='primary' size='sm' modal='Pfam_Domains'>Pfam Domains</button> <button type='primary' size='sm' modal='GO_terms'>GO Terms</button> <modal id='Pfam_Domains' size='lg' title='Pfam Domains'> |RNA pol Rpc34| </modal> <modal id='GO_terms' size='lg' title='GO Terms'> |RNA polymerase III activity| |RNA polymerase III complex| |regulation of transcription by RNA polymerase III| |positive regulation of interferon-beta production| |DNA-directed 5-3 RNA polymerase activity| |transcription by RNA polymerase III| |regulation of interferon-beta production| |positive regulation of type I interferon production| |double-stranded DNA binding| |regulation of type I interferon production| |defense response to virus| |response to virus| |positive regulation of innate immune response| |positive regulation of response to biotic stimulus| |positive regulation of cytokine production| |regulation of innate immune response| |positive regulation of defense response| |positive regulation of multi-organism process| |regulation of response to biotic stimulus| |positive regulation of response to external stimulus| |transcription, DNA-templated| |nucleic acid-templated transcription| |RNA biosynthetic process| |regulation of cytokine production| |regulation of defense response| |innate immune response| |regulation of multi-organism process| |positive regulation of immune response| |defense response to other organism| |immune effector process| |regulation of response to external stimulus| |nucleobase-containing compound biosynthetic process| |positive regulation of immune system process| |regulation of immune response| |heterocycle biosynthetic process| |aromatic compound biosynthetic process| |response to other organism| |organic cyclic compound biosynthetic process| |response to external biotic stimulus| |response to biotic stimulus| |defense response| |regulation of response to stress| |cellular nitrogen compound biosynthetic process| |regulation of immune system process| |RNA metabolic process| |cellular macromolecule biosynthetic process| |positive regulation of multicellular organismal process| |macromolecule biosynthetic process| |immune response| |gene expression| </modal> \\ === CRISPR Data === <button type='default' size='small' modal='Compound_Hit'>Compound Hit</button> <button type='default' size='small' modal='Most_Correlated_Genes'>Most Correlated Genes in Chemogenomics</button> <button type='primary' size='small' modal='Essential_Avana'>Tissues where Essential in the Avana Dataset (DepMap 20Q1)</button> <modal id='Compound_Hit' size='lg' title='Compound Hit'> No hits were found. </modal> <modal id='Most_Correlated_Genes' size='lg' title='Most Correlated Genes in Chemogenomics'> No correlation found to any other genes in chemogenomics. </modal> <modal id='Essential_Avana' size='lg' title='Tissues where Essential in the Avana Dataset (DepMap 20Q1)'> Global Fraction of Cell Lines Where Essential: 593/726 ^Tissue^Fraction Of Cell Lines Where Essential^ |1290807.0|1/1| |909776.0|0/1| |bile duct|24/28| |blood|20/28| |bone|23/25| |breast|29/33| |central nervous system|48/56| |cervix|4/4| |colorectal|14/17| |esophagus|12/13| |fibroblast|1/1| |gastric|14/15| |kidney|17/21| |liver|14/20| |lung|66/75| |lymphocyte|13/14| |ovary|24/26| |pancreas|20/24| |peripheral nervous system|10/16| |plasma cell|12/15| |prostate|1/1| |skin|13/24| |soft tissue|5/7| |thyroid|0/2| |upper aerodigestive|16/22| |urinary tract|20/29| |uterus|4/5| </modal> == Essentiality in NALM6 == * **<color #00a2e8>Essentiality Rank</color>**: 1767 * **<color #00a2e8>Expression level (log2 read counts)</color>**: 4.45 <button type='primary' size='small' modal='Dist_expr'>Expression Distribution</button> <modal id='Dist_expr' size='lg' title='POLR3F Expression in NALM6 Cells: 4.45'> {{:chemogenomics:nalm6 dist.png?nolink |}} </modal> Last modified: 2025/12/10 20:19by 127.0.0.1
