This protein has been shown to play a role in homologous recombination related repair of DNA double-strand breaks. The binding of this protein to double-strand DNA induces a DNA topological change, which is thought to facilitate homologous DNA paring, and stimulate DNA recombination. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding the same protein.[provided by RefSeq, Dec 2008]. * **<color #00a2e8>UniProt Summary</color>**: Involved in DNA repair and mitotic recombination. Functions in the recombinational DNA repair (RAD52) pathway. Dissociates RAD51 from nucleoprotein filaments formed on dsDNA. Could be involved in the turnover of RAD51 protein-dsDNA filaments (By similarity). May play also an essential role in telomere length maintenance and telomere capping in mammalian cells. {ECO:0000250, ECO:0000269|PubMed:11459989, ECO:0000269|PubMed:12205100, ECO:0000269|PubMed:9774452}. <button type='primary' size='sm' modal='Pfam_Domains'>Pfam Domains</button> <button type='primary' size='sm' modal='GO_terms'>GO Terms</button> <modal id='Pfam_Domains' size='lg' title='Pfam Domains'> |HDA2-3| |DEAD| |SNF2 N| |Helicase C| </modal> <modal id='GO_terms' size='lg' title='GO Terms'> |DNA translocase activity| |double-strand break repair via synthesis-dependent strand annealing| |annealing helicase activity| |DNA strand renaturation| |determination of adult lifespan| |helicase activity| |multicellular organism aging| |DNA-dependent ATPase activity| |reciprocal meiotic recombination| |homologous recombination| |double-strand break repair via homologous recombination| |recombinational repair| |meiosis I| |meiosis I cell cycle process| |DNA geometric change| |response to ionizing radiation| |meiotic nuclear division| |meiotic cell cycle process| |double-strand break repair| |DNA recombination| |meiotic cell cycle| |aging| |nuclear division| |DNA conformation change| |organelle fission| |response to radiation| |DNA repair| |protein-containing complex| |DNA metabolic process| |cellular response to DNA damage stimulus| |cell cycle process| |response to drug| |chromosome organization| |response to abiotic stimulus| |cell cycle| |reproductive process| |reproduction| |DNA binding| |ATP binding| |cellular response to stress| </modal> \\ === CRISPR Data === <button type='primary' size='small' modal='Compound_Hit'>Compound Hit</button> <button type='primary' size='small' modal='Most_Correlated_Genes'>Most Correlated Genes in Chemogenomics</button> <button type='primary' size='small' modal='Essential_Avana'>Tissues where Essential in the Avana Dataset (DepMap 20Q1)</button> <modal id='Compound_Hit' size='lg' title='Compound Hit'> ^Screen^Score^ |Rucaparib 6.5μM R08 exp520|-3.57| |Olaparib 4μM R08 exp512|-3.24| |Pyridostatin 4μM R05 exp240|-2.19| |Nifuroxazide 5μM R03 exp102|-2.02| |Campthothecin 0.001μM R06 exp270|-1.82| |ETC-159 50μM R08 exp480|-1.82| |Genistein 15μM R07 exp360|-1.72| |NFN1 1μM R03 exp100|-1.7| |ZLN024 50μM R08 exp538|2.26| </modal> <modal id='Most_Correlated_Genes' size='lg' title='Most Correlated Genes in Chemogenomics'> ^Gene^Correlation^ |SWSAP1|0.405| </modal> <modal id='Essential_Avana' size='lg' title='Tissues where Essential in the Avana Dataset (DepMap 20Q1)'> Global Fraction of Cell Lines Where Essential: 0/726 ^Tissue^Fraction Of Cell Lines Where Essential^ |1290807.0|0/1| |909776.0|0/1| |bile duct|0/28| |blood|0/28| |bone|0/25| |breast|0/33| |central nervous system|0/56| |cervix|0/4| |colorectal|0/17| |esophagus|0/13| |fibroblast|0/1| |gastric|0/15| |kidney|0/21| |liver|0/20| |lung|0/75| |lymphocyte|0/14| |ovary|0/26| |pancreas|0/24| |peripheral nervous system|0/16| |plasma cell|0/15| |prostate|0/1| |skin|0/24| |soft tissue|0/7| |thyroid|0/2| |upper aerodigestive|0/22| |urinary tract|0/29| |uterus|0/5| </modal> == Essentiality in NALM6 == * **<color #00a2e8>Essentiality Rank</color>**: 8556 * **<color #00a2e8>Expression level (log2 read counts)</color>**: 6.14 <button type='primary' size='small' modal='Dist_expr'>Expression Distribution</button> <modal id='Dist_expr' size='lg' title='RAD54L Expression in NALM6 Cells: 6.14'> </modal> Last modified: 2025/12/10 20:19by 127.0.0.1
