These proteins are found on cell membranes and serve as the targets for v-SNAREs (vesicle-SNAP receptors), permitting specific synaptic vesicle docking and fusion. The encoded protein regulates endoplasmic reticulum to Golgi transport and plays a critical role in autophagy. Autoantibodies targeting the encoded protein may be a diagnostic marker for endometriosis. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding multiple isoforms have been observed for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Sep 2011]. * **<color #00a2e8>UniProt Summary</color>**: Mediates endoplasmic reticulum to Golgi transport. Together with p115/USO1 and GM130/GOLGA2, involved in vesicle tethering and fusion at the cis-Golgi membrane to maintain the stacked and inter-connected structure of the Golgi apparatus. {ECO:0000250|UniProtKB:Q08851}. <button type='primary' size='sm' modal='Pfam_Domains'>Pfam Domains</button> <button type='primary' size='sm' modal='GO_terms'>GO Terms</button> <modal id='Pfam_Domains' size='lg' title='Pfam Domains'> |SNARE| |Syntaxin| </modal> <modal id='GO_terms' size='lg' title='GO Terms'> |Golgi disassembly| |vesicle fusion with Golgi apparatus| |Golgi inheritance| |organelle inheritance| |early endosome to Golgi transport| |regulation of Golgi organization| |SNAP receptor activity| |SNARE complex| |ER to Golgi transport vesicle membrane| |vesicle docking| |vesicle targeting, rough ER to cis-Golgi| |COPII vesicle coating| |organelle disassembly| |SNARE binding| |vesicle coating| |COPII-coated vesicle budding| |vesicle targeting, to, from or within Golgi| |endoplasmic reticulum-Golgi intermediate compartment membrane| |vesicle fusion| |endomembrane system| |Golgi vesicle budding| |organelle membrane fusion| |vesicle targeting| |retrograde transport, endosome to Golgi| |organelle fusion| |vesicle budding from membrane| |protein N-terminus binding| |membrane fusion| |Golgi organization| |vesicle| |cytosolic transport| |organelle localization by membrane tethering| |establishment of vesicle localization| |membrane docking| |vesicle localization| |endoplasmic reticulum to Golgi vesicle-mediated transport| |positive regulation of protein catabolic process| |endosomal transport| |vesicle organization| |cadherin binding| |establishment of organelle localization| |Golgi vesicle transport| |regulation of protein catabolic process| |cellular component disassembly| |endomembrane system organization| |positive regulation of catabolic process| |organelle localization| |Golgi membrane| |membrane organization| |endoplasmic reticulum membrane| |Golgi apparatus| |intracellular protein transport| |regulation of catabolic process| |regulation of organelle organization| |protein transport| |intracellular transport| |peptide transport| |protein-containing complex assembly| |amide transport| |cellular protein localization| |cellular macromolecule localization| |establishment of protein localization| |positive regulation of protein metabolic process| |establishment of localization in cell| |nitrogen compound transport| |protein-containing complex subunit organization| |vesicle-mediated transport| </modal> \\ === CRISPR Data === <button type='primary' size='small' modal='Compound_Hit'>Compound Hit</button> <button type='default' size='small' modal='Most_Correlated_Genes'>Most Correlated Genes in Chemogenomics</button> <button type='primary' size='small' modal='Essential_Avana'>Tissues where Essential in the Avana Dataset (DepMap 20Q1)</button> <modal id='Compound_Hit' size='lg' title='Compound Hit'> ^Screen^Score^ |[[:results:exp116|AICAR 240μM R03 exp116]]|1.72| |[[:results:exp84|UM0125461 0.74μM R02 exp84]]|2.18| </modal> <modal id='Most_Correlated_Genes' size='lg' title='Most Correlated Genes in Chemogenomics'> No correlation found to any other genes in chemogenomics. </modal> <modal id='Essential_Avana' size='lg' title='Tissues where Essential in the Avana Dataset (DepMap 20Q1)'> Global Fraction of Cell Lines Where Essential: 338/739 ^Tissue^Fraction Of Cell Lines Where Essential^ |1290807.0|1/1| |909776.0|0/1| |bile duct|15/28| |blood|12/28| |bone|15/26| |breast|19/33| |central nervous system|25/56| |cervix|3/4| |colorectal|9/17| |esophagus|5/13| |fibroblast|1/1| |gastric|9/16| |kidney|12/21| |liver|10/20| |lung|32/75| |lymphocyte|7/16| |ovary|14/26| |pancreas|8/24| |peripheral nervous system|8/16| |plasma cell|8/15| |prostate|1/1| |skin|6/24| |soft tissue|5/9| |thyroid|1/2| |upper aerodigestive|9/22| |urinary tract|10/29| |uterus|2/5| </modal> == Essentiality in NALM6 == * **<color #00a2e8>Essentiality Rank</color>**: 3743 * **<color #00a2e8>Expression level (log2 read counts)</color>**: 4.34 <button type='primary' size='small' modal='Dist_expr'>Expression Distribution</button> <modal id='Dist_expr' size='lg' title='STX5 Expression in NALM6 Cells: 4.34'> {{:chemogenomics:nalm6 dist.png?nolink |}} </modal> Last modified: 2025/12/10 20:19by 127.0.0.1
