Plays an essential role in autophagy activation during viral infection. Mechanistically, activates TANK-binding kinase 1/TBK1 by facilitating its dimerization and ability to phosphorylate the selective autophagy receptor SQSTM1. In order to achieve this function, TRIM23 mediates 'Lys-27'-linked auto-ubiquitination of its ADP-ribosylation factor (ARF) domain to induce its GTPase activity and its recruitment to autophagosomes (PubMed:28871090). {ECO:0000269|PubMed:15684077, ECO:0000269|PubMed:28871090}. <button type='primary' size='sm' modal='Pfam_Domains'>Pfam Domains</button> <button type='primary' size='sm' modal='GO_terms'>GO Terms</button> <modal id='Pfam_Domains' size='lg' title='Pfam Domains'> |Miro| |Arf| |SRPRB| |Ras| |G-alpha| |zf-B box| |Gtr1 RagA| </modal> <modal id='GO_terms' size='lg' title='GO Terms'> |enzyme activator activity| |Golgi to plasma membrane transport| |GDP binding| |vesicle-mediated transport to the plasma membrane| |post-Golgi vesicle-mediated transport| |nucleic acid binding| |ubiquitin-protein transferase activity| |lysosomal membrane| |GTPase activity| |Golgi vesicle transport| |GTP binding| |Golgi membrane| |protein ubiquitination| |viral process| |innate immune response| |protein modification by small protein conjugation| |symbiotic process| |interspecies interaction between organisms| |zinc ion binding| |defense response to other organism| |Golgi apparatus| |protein modification by small protein conjugation or removal| |intracellular protein transport| |identical protein binding| |response to other organism| |response to external biotic stimulus| |response to biotic stimulus| |defense response| |positive regulation of catalytic activity| |protein transport| |intracellular transport| |peptide transport| |amide transport| |cellular protein localization| |cellular macromolecule localization| |establishment of protein localization| |positive regulation of molecular function| |establishment of localization in cell| |nitrogen compound transport| |immune response| |vesicle-mediated transport| </modal> \\ === CRISPR Data === <button type='primary' size='small' modal='Compound_Hit'>Compound Hit</button> <button type='default' size='small' modal='Most_Correlated_Genes'>Most Correlated Genes in Chemogenomics</button> <button type='primary' size='small' modal='Essential_Avana'>Tissues where Essential in the Avana Dataset (DepMap 20Q1)</button> <modal id='Compound_Hit' size='lg' title='Compound Hit'> ^Screen^Score^ |Bortezomib 0.05μM R00 exp7|-2.3| |A-366 10μM R03 exp115|-1.85| |CHIR-124 0.04μM R06 exp272|-1.84| |VHL-ligand-1 20μM R07 exp421|1.75| |Salubrinal 20μM R07 exp399|1.76| |Tubacin 1.6μM R07 exp416|1.89| |Vemurafenib 6.6μM R08 exp434|1.92| |BI-D1870 3.15μM R02 exp66|1.97| |Erlotinib 10μM R05 exp216|1.97| |FK-506 5μM R07 exp358|2.04| |Asunaprenir 3μM R07 exp336|2.09| |Q15 2.7μM R02 exp79|2.22| |Cyclosporin-A 3μM R07 exp348|2.26| </modal> <modal id='Most_Correlated_Genes' size='lg' title='Most Correlated Genes in Chemogenomics'> No correlation found to any other genes in chemogenomics. </modal> <modal id='Essential_Avana' size='lg' title='Tissues where Essential in the Avana Dataset (DepMap 20Q1)'> Global Fraction of Cell Lines Where Essential: 0/739 ^Tissue^Fraction Of Cell Lines Where Essential^ |1290807.0|0/1| |909776.0|0/1| |bile duct|0/28| |blood|0/28| |bone|0/26| |breast|0/33| |central nervous system|0/56| |cervix|0/4| |colorectal|0/17| |esophagus|0/13| |fibroblast|0/1| |gastric|0/16| |kidney|0/21| |liver|0/20| |lung|0/75| |lymphocyte|0/16| |ovary|0/26| |pancreas|0/24| |peripheral nervous system|0/16| |plasma cell|0/15| |prostate|0/1| |skin|0/24| |soft tissue|0/9| |thyroid|0/2| |upper aerodigestive|0/22| |urinary tract|0/29| |uterus|0/5| </modal> == Essentiality in NALM6 == * **<color #00a2e8>Essentiality Rank</color>**: 14580 * **<color #00a2e8>Expression level (log2 read counts)</color>**: 3.9 <button type='primary' size='small' modal='Dist_expr'>Expression Distribution</button> <modal id='Dist_expr' size='lg' title='TRIM23 Expression in NALM6 Cells: 3.9'> </modal> Last modified: 2025/12/10 20:19by 127.0.0.1
