The so-called ufmylation, requires the UFM1-activating E1 enzyme UBA5, the UFM1-conjugating E2 enzyme UFC1, and the UFM1-ligase E3 enzyme UFL1 (PubMed:15071506, PubMed:20018847). This post-translational modification on lysine residues of proteins may play a crucial role in a number of cellular processes. TRIP4 ufmylation may for instance play a role in nuclear receptors-mediated transcription (PubMed:25219498). Other substrates may include DDRGK1 with which it may play a role in the cellular response to endoplasmic reticulum stress (Probable). {ECO:0000269|PubMed:15071506, ECO:0000269|PubMed:20018847, ECO:0000269|PubMed:25219498, ECO:0000305|PubMed:23152784}. <button type='primary' size='sm' modal='Pfam_Domains'>Pfam Domains</button> <button type='primary' size='sm' modal='GO_terms'>GO Terms</button> <modal id='Pfam_Domains' size='lg' title='Pfam Domains'> |Ufm1| </modal> <modal id='GO_terms' size='lg' title='GO Terms'> |protein polyufmylation| |protein K69-linked ufmylation| |protein ufmylation| |regulation of intracellular estrogen receptor signaling pathway| |regulation of intracellular steroid hormone receptor signaling pathway| |response to endoplasmic reticulum stress| |brain development| |protein modification by small protein conjugation| |head development| |negative regulation of apoptotic process| |negative regulation of programmed cell death| |central nervous system development| |protein modification by small protein conjugation or removal| |negative regulation of cell death| |endoplasmic reticulum| |regulation of apoptotic process| |regulation of programmed cell death| |regulation of cell death| |cellular response to stress| </modal> \\ === CRISPR Data === <button type='primary' size='small' modal='Compound_Hit'>Compound Hit</button> <button type='primary' size='small' modal='Most_Correlated_Genes'>Most Correlated Genes in Chemogenomics</button> <button type='primary' size='small' modal='Essential_Avana'>Tissues where Essential in the Avana Dataset (DepMap 20Q1)</button> <modal id='Compound_Hit' size='lg' title='Compound Hit'> ^Screen^Score^ |Golgicide-A 4μM R03 exp122|-2.33| |Curcumin 6.5μM R06 exp277|-1.81| |Rapamycin 10μM R00 exp30|-1.71| |Citral 75μM R06 exp275|1.84| |Taxol 0.004μM R03 exp103|1.85| |LLY-283 2.6μM R06 exp290|1.89| |Etoposide 1μM R00 exp19|2.35| </modal> <modal id='Most_Correlated_Genes' size='lg' title='Most Correlated Genes in Chemogenomics'> ^Gene^Correlation^ |C1orf27|0.745| |UFC1|0.718| |UBA5|0.703| |UFSP2|0.683| |UFL1|0.599| |UBE2J1|0.554| |DDRGK1|0.527| |DNAJC3|0.502| |DNAJB11|0.496| |UBE2G2|0.486| |MANF|0.47| |ALG5|0.465| |DERL1|0.464| |ALG6|0.44| |TMED10|0.432| |KIAA0922|0.431| |CTDNEP1|0.425| |P4HB|0.42| |ATP5O|0.42| |ATP5J|0.411| |SEC63|0.403| </modal> <modal id='Essential_Avana' size='lg' title='Tissues where Essential in the Avana Dataset (DepMap 20Q1)'> Global Fraction of Cell Lines Where Essential: 301/739 ^Tissue^Fraction Of Cell Lines Where Essential^ |1290807.0|0/1| |909776.0|1/1| |bile duct|16/28| |blood|11/28| |bone|10/26| |breast|8/33| |central nervous system|27/56| |cervix|0/4| |colorectal|8/17| |esophagus|4/13| |fibroblast|1/1| |gastric|8/16| |kidney|13/21| |liver|13/20| |lung|27/75| |lymphocyte|2/16| |ovary|13/26| |pancreas|10/24| |peripheral nervous system|0/16| |plasma cell|13/15| |prostate|0/1| |skin|10/24| |soft tissue|1/9| |thyroid|2/2| |upper aerodigestive|9/22| |urinary tract|13/29| |uterus|2/5| </modal> == Essentiality in NALM6 == * **<color #00a2e8>Essentiality Rank</color>**: 9623 * **<color #00a2e8>Expression level (log2 read counts)</color>**: 5.98 <button type='primary' size='small' modal='Dist_expr'>Expression Distribution</button> <modal id='Dist_expr' size='lg' title='UFM1 Expression in NALM6 Cells: 5.98'> </modal> Last modified: 2025/12/10 20:19by 127.0.0.1
