Thereby, plays an important role in the splicing of cellular pre-mRNAs. Most spliceosomal snRNPs contain a common set of Sm proteins SNRPB, SNRPD1, SNRPD2, SNRPD3, SNRPE, SNRPF and SNRPG that assemble in a heptameric protein ring on the Sm site of the small nuclear RNA to form the core snRNP. In the cytosol, the Sm proteins SNRPD1, SNRPD2, SNRPE, SNRPF and SNRPG are trapped in an inactive 6S pICln-Sm complex by the chaperone CLNS1A that controls the assembly of the core snRNP. Dissociation by the SMN complex of CLNS1A from the trapped Sm proteins and their transfer to an SMN-Sm complex triggers the assembly of core snRNPs and their transport to the nucleus. May also indirectly participate in cellular volume control by activation of a swelling-induced chloride conductance pathway. {ECO:0000269|PubMed:10330151, ECO:0000269|PubMed:11713266, ECO:0000269|PubMed:18984161}. <button type='primary' size='sm' modal='Pfam_Domains'>Pfam Domains</button> <button type='primary' size='sm' modal='GO_terms'>GO Terms</button> <modal id='Pfam_Domains' size='lg' title='Pfam Domains'> |ICln channel| </modal> <modal id='GO_terms' size='lg' title='GO Terms'> |pICln-Sm protein complex| |methylosome| |cell volume homeostasis| |spliceosomal snRNP assembly| |chloride transport| |inorganic anion transport| |regulation of cell size| |ribonucleoprotein complex assembly| |ribonucleoprotein complex subunit organization| |RNA splicing, via transesterification reactions with bulged adenosine as nucleophile| |mRNA splicing, via spliceosome| |RNA splicing, via transesterification reactions| |cytoskeleton| |regulation of cellular component size| |RNA splicing| |ribonucleoprotein complex biogenesis| |mRNA processing| |protein heterodimerization activity| |regulation of anatomical structure size| |anion transport| |mRNA metabolic process| |cellular protein-containing complex assembly| |RNA processing| |cellular homeostasis| |ion transport| |RNA binding| |protein-containing complex assembly| |homeostatic process| |RNA metabolic process| |protein-containing complex subunit organization| |gene expression| </modal> \\ === CRISPR Data === <button type='primary' size='small' modal='Compound_Hit'>Compound Hit</button> <button type='default' size='small' modal='Most_Correlated_Genes'>Most Correlated Genes in Chemogenomics</button> <button type='primary' size='small' modal='Essential_Avana'>Tissues where Essential in the Avana Dataset (DepMap 20Q1)</button> <modal id='Compound_Hit' size='lg' title='Compound Hit'> ^Screen^Score^ |Thimerosal 0.85μM R08 exp529|-2.03| |Trientine 500μM R08 exp534|-1.99| |Amiloride 100μM R08 exp447|-1.87| |FK-506 30μM R07 exp359|-1.84| |Actinomycin-D 0.01μM R00 exp4|2.08| </modal> <modal id='Most_Correlated_Genes' size='lg' title='Most Correlated Genes in Chemogenomics'> No correlation found to any other genes in chemogenomics. </modal> <modal id='Essential_Avana' size='lg' title='Tissues where Essential in the Avana Dataset (DepMap 20Q1)'> Global Fraction of Cell Lines Where Essential: 732/739 ^Tissue^Fraction Of Cell Lines Where Essential^ |1290807.0|1/1| |909776.0|1/1| |bile duct|28/28| |blood|28/28| |bone|26/26| |breast|33/33| |central nervous system|56/56| |cervix|4/4| |colorectal|17/17| |esophagus|13/13| |fibroblast|1/1| |gastric|16/16| |kidney|20/21| |liver|20/20| |lung|75/75| |lymphocyte|16/16| |ovary|25/26| |pancreas|24/24| |peripheral nervous system|16/16| |plasma cell|12/15| |prostate|1/1| |skin|24/24| |soft tissue|9/9| |thyroid|2/2| |upper aerodigestive|22/22| |urinary tract|29/29| |uterus|4/5| </modal> == Essentiality in NALM6 == * **<color #00a2e8>Essentiality Rank</color>**: 962 * **<color #00a2e8>Expression level (log2 read counts)</color>**: 6.62 <button type='primary' size='small' modal='Dist_expr'>Expression Distribution</button> <modal id='Dist_expr' size='lg' title='CLNS1A Expression in NALM6 Cells: 6.62'> </modal> Last modified: 2026/01/07 22:36by 127.0.0.1
