The encoded protein is a receptor for cysteinyl leukotrienes, and is involved in mediating bronchoconstriction via activation of a phosphatidylinositol-calcium second messenger system. Activation of the encoded receptor results in contraction and proliferation of bronchial smooth muscle cells, eosinophil migration, and damage to the mucus layer in the lung. Upregulation of this gene is associated with asthma and dysregulation may also be implicated in cancer. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Aug 2013]. * **<color #00a2e8>UniProt Summary</color>**: Receptor for cysteinyl leukotrienes mediating bronchoconstriction of individuals with and without asthma. Stimulation by LTD4 results in the contraction and proliferation of smooth muscle, edema, eosinophil migration and damage to the mucus layer in the lung. This response is mediated via a G-protein that activates a phosphatidylinositol-calcium second messenger system. The rank order of affinities for the leukotrienes is LTD4 >> LTE4 = LTC4 >> LTB4. <button type='primary' size='sm' modal='Pfam_Domains'>Pfam Domains</button> <button type='primary' size='sm' modal='GO_terms'>GO Terms</button> <modal id='Pfam_Domains' size='lg' title='Pfam Domains'> |7TM GPCR Srv| |7tm 1| |7TM GPCR Srx| |7TM GPCR Srw| </modal> <modal id='GO_terms' size='lg' title='GO Terms'> |leukotriene receptor activity| |leukotriene signaling pathway| |galanin receptor activity| |inflammatory response to antigenic stimulus| |G protein-coupled peptide receptor activity| |respiratory gaseous exchange by respiratory system| |neuropeptide signaling pathway| |calcium ion transport| |positive regulation of cytosolic calcium ion concentration| |divalent metal ion transport| |divalent inorganic cation transport| |regulation of cytosolic calcium ion concentration| |cellular calcium ion homeostasis| |calcium ion homeostasis| |cellular divalent inorganic cation homeostasis| |divalent inorganic cation homeostasis| |inflammatory response| |chemotaxis| |taxis| |cellular metal ion homeostasis| |metal ion homeostasis| |cellular cation homeostasis| |metal ion transport| |cellular ion homeostasis| |cation homeostasis| |inorganic ion homeostasis| |cellular chemical homeostasis| |ion homeostasis| |cation transport| |cellular homeostasis| |chemical homeostasis| |locomotion| |G protein-coupled receptor signaling pathway| |defense response| |ion transport| |integral component of plasma membrane| |homeostatic process| |immune response| |membrane| </modal> \\ === CRISPR Data === <button type='primary' size='small' modal='Compound_Hit'>Compound Hit</button> <button type='default' size='small' modal='Most_Correlated_Genes'>Most Correlated Genes in Chemogenomics</button> <button type='primary' size='small' modal='Essential_Avana'>Tissues where Essential in the Avana Dataset (DepMap 20Q1)</button> <modal id='Compound_Hit' size='lg' title='Compound Hit'> ^Screen^Score^ |MSC2530818 10μM R07 exp379|-2| |Cadmium 60μM R08 exp462|-1.72| |PU-H71 1μM R08 exp515|1.72| |Rifampicin 10μM R00 exp32|1.72| |SB203580 25μM R03 exp149|1.76| |SGC2043 10μM R03 exp152|1.83| |UNC2400 2μM R03 exp156|1.85| |LB-100 4.1μM R02 exp72|1.86| |Prochlorperazine 5.2μM R02 exp77|1.92| |Tanespimycin 14μM R08 exp527|2.76| </modal> <modal id='Most_Correlated_Genes' size='lg' title='Most Correlated Genes in Chemogenomics'> No correlation found to any other genes in chemogenomics. </modal> <modal id='Essential_Avana' size='lg' title='Tissues where Essential in the Avana Dataset (DepMap 20Q1)'> Global Fraction of Cell Lines Where Essential: 0/694 ^Tissue^Fraction Of Cell Lines Where Essential^ |1290807.0|0/1| |909776.0|0/1| |bile duct|0/28| |blood|0/26| |bone|0/26| |breast|0/30| |central nervous system|0/49| |cervix|0/4| |colorectal|0/17| |esophagus|0/11| |fibroblast|0/1| |gastric|0/14| |kidney|0/18| |liver|0/19| |lung|0/72| |lymphocyte|0/16| |ovary|0/25| |pancreas|0/22| |peripheral nervous system|0/15| |plasma cell|0/12| |prostate|0/1| |skin|0/20| |soft tissue|0/9| |thyroid|0/2| |upper aerodigestive|0/22| |urinary tract|0/28| |uterus|0/5| </modal> == Essentiality in NALM6 == * **<color #00a2e8>Essentiality Rank</color>**: 12812 * **<color #00a2e8>Expression level (log2 read counts)</color>**: 4.92 <button type='primary' size='small' modal='Dist_expr'>Expression Distribution</button> <modal id='Dist_expr' size='lg' title='CYSLTR1 Expression in NALM6 Cells: 4.92'> </modal> Last modified: 2026/01/07 22:36by 127.0.0.1
