These motifs are thought to be involved in ATP binding, hydrolysis, RNA binding, and in the formation of intramolecular interactions. This protein shares high similarity to DDX3X, on the X chromosome, but a deletion of this gene is not complemented by DDX3X. Mutations in this gene result in male infertility, a reduction in germ cell numbers, and can result in Sertoli-cell only sydrome. Pseudogenes sharing similarity to both this gene and the DDX3X paralog are found on chromosome 4 and the X chromosome. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms. [provided by RefSeq, Oct 2014]. * **<color #00a2e8>UniProt Summary</color>**: Probable ATP-dependent RNA helicase. May play a role in spermatogenesis. <button type='primary' size='sm' modal='Pfam_Domains'>Pfam Domains</button> <button type='primary' size='sm' modal='GO_terms'>GO Terms</button> <modal id='Pfam_Domains' size='lg' title='Pfam Domains'> |Helicase C| |DEAD| </modal> <modal id='GO_terms' size='lg' title='GO Terms'> |P granule| |RNA helicase activity| |gamete generation| |multicellular organismal reproductive process| |sexual reproduction| |multicellular organism reproduction| |multi-organism reproductive process| |RNA binding| |reproductive process| |reproduction| |DNA binding| |ATP binding| |membrane| </modal> \\ === CRISPR Data === <button type='primary' size='small' modal='Compound_Hit'>Compound Hit</button> <button type='default' size='small' modal='Most_Correlated_Genes'>Most Correlated Genes in Chemogenomics</button> <button type='primary' size='small' modal='Essential_Avana'>Tissues where Essential in the Avana Dataset (DepMap 20Q1)</button> <modal id='Compound_Hit' size='lg' title='Compound Hit'> ^Screen^Score^ |Tozasertib 0.1μM R07 exp414|-1.97| |Docosahexaenoic-acid 50μM R07 exp356|-1.73| |Phenformin 20μM R03 exp143|1.8| |Cholesterol 0.003 to 0.006 to 0.1μM on day2 then day6 R08 exp471|1.87| </modal> <modal id='Most_Correlated_Genes' size='lg' title='Most Correlated Genes in Chemogenomics'> No correlation found to any other genes in chemogenomics. </modal> <modal id='Essential_Avana' size='lg' title='Tissues where Essential in the Avana Dataset (DepMap 20Q1)'> Global Fraction of Cell Lines Where Essential: N/A ^Tissue^Fraction Of Cell Lines Where Essential^ </modal> == Essentiality in NALM6 == * **<color #00a2e8>Essentiality Rank</color>**: 14859 * **<color #00a2e8>Expression level (log2 read counts)</color>**: 7.9 <button type='primary' size='small' modal='Dist_expr'>Expression Distribution</button> <modal id='Dist_expr' size='lg' title='DDX3Y Expression in NALM6 Cells: 7.9'> </modal> Last modified: 2026/01/07 22:36by 127.0.0.1
